Defending state champion Britney Rueb of Bon Homme/Scotland/Avon won a championship at Saturday's Dell Rapids tournament with a 5-2 win over her teammate Peyton Hellman.

Bon Homme/Scotland/Avon’s Britney Rueb wins title at Dell Rapids tournament

DELL RAPIDS — Defending state champion Britney Rueb, of Bon Homme/Scotland/Avon, won the 132-138 championship at Saturday’s Top of the Rock girls tournament. 

Rueb defeated teammate, and another defending state champion, Peyton Hellman, 5-2. 

Other individual winners were Canton’s Sara Schroder (106-113) and McCook Central-Montrose athlete Alexis Bryant (120-126). 

Results: 

106-113: 1st place, Sara Schroder, Canton; 2nd place, Hannah Jensen, Dell Rapids; 3. Marin Rhode, Canton; 4. Jewel Gannon, Canton. 

120-126: 1st place, Alexis Bryan, McCook Central/Montrose; 2nd place, Rylee Bird, Dell Rapids; 3rd place, Jayrn Warejcka, Canton, 4th place, Ila Hansen, Dell Rapids. 

132-138: 1st place, Britney Rueb, Bon Homme/Scotland/Avon; 2nd place, Peyton Hellmann, Bon Homme, Scotland/Avon; 3rd place, Bailey Credeur, Dell Rapids, 4th place, Kieonna Smith, Canton. 

Three champions crowned at Stanley County Invitational

FORT PIERRE - Lemmon/McIntosh’s Quinn Butler (120), Sully Buttes’ Cateri Yellow Hawk (132) and Cheyenne-Eagle-Butte/Dupree’s Fallon Peterson (142) all won championships at Saturday’s Stanley County Invitational. 

Results: 

120: 1st place, Quinn Butler, Lemmon/McIntosh, 2nd place, Keisha Tomac, New Salem-Almont, 3rd place, Eulayala Maynard, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte/Dupree, 4th place, Hannah Thiel, New Salem-Almont.

Beresford/Alcester-Hudson has two champions at Rider Girls wrestling tournament

SIOUX FALLS — Beresford/Alcester-Hudson had two champions at Saturday’s Rider Girls Tournament in Sioux Falls. 

Tavyn Valder (120) and Reese Olson (132) claimed titles. 

Other individual winners were Sioux Falls Roosevelt’s Ali Bissell (154) and Sioux Falls Lincoln’s Maria Larson (285). 

120: 1st place, Tavyn Valder, Beresford/Alcester-Hudson; 2nd place, Jocelyn Thoms, Lennox, 3rd place, SageLynn Culley, Sioux Falls Roosevelt.
