Dakota Valley’s Isaac Bruns tweeted his intentions to play college basketball at the University of South Dakota on Friday.

Bruns, a two-time first-team all-stater, averaged 24 points and nine rebounds during his junior season. He guided the Panthers to their first-ever state championship and earned all-tourney honors at state. Bruns tossed in 621 points during his junior season.

He also had an offer from the University of North Dakota. Bruns, a 6-foot-4 shooting guard, has scored more than 1,500 career points. As a sophomore, he averaged 23 points and 6.2 rebounds per game.

Bruns will join his brother, Paul, at USD. Paul played his freshman season at UND, where he earned Summit League freshman of the year honors.
