MITCHELL — Three players scored in double figures to lead Ethan to a boys basketball win over Waubay/Summit at Saturday’s Hanson Classic. 

Jay Storm paced the Rustlers with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Kody Klumb added 14 points and five assists, while Riley Endres finished with 13 points. Kaden Klumb posted nine points and nine rebounds. Taite Klumb recorded five points. 

Waubay/Summit’s Damon Opdahl tossed in a game-high 27 points and added five steals. J Gulbraa finished with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Jonathan Johnston had nine points.

MITCHELL — Lyman jumped out to a 22-6 first-quarter lead and held off Bridgewater-Emery at Saturday’s Hanson Classic. 

Lyman, which led by as many as 23 points, shot 21 of 44 from the field and nailed 10 3-pointers. The Raiders were paced by Sam McClanahan’s 20 points, six 3-pointers and six assists. Jacob Sazue added nine points, five assists and four steals. Isaac Thomas recorded eight points, while Stockton McClanahan had seven points, six rebounds and five assists. Damian Abrahamson scored six points and Colton Collins scored five points. 

Bridgewater-Emery’s Sutton Arend finished with 24 points and 11 rebounds. Camdyn Stoterau logged 11 points.

MITCHELL — West Central broke a 12-12 first quarter tie to pull away from Clark/Willow Lake at Saturday’s Hanson Classic.

Wilson Droge led all scorers with 21 points, while Grafton Stroup and Dillon Jackson scored 15 points apiece.

For CWL, Kaplan Felberg tallied 16 points and six rebounds. Tyler O’Neill scored 12 points and Brady Jordan added 11 points.

MITCHELL — Potter County used a 22-13 fourth quarter to pull away from Hanson at Saturday’s Hanson Classic.

Cooper Logan led the Battlers with 23 points, eight rebounds, and three assists. Seth Sharp recorded 18 points and eight boards, while Grant Luikens tallied 16 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Drake Bassett added nine points and seven assists.

For Hanson, Ethan Cheeseman recorded a game-high 24 points and 11 rebounds. Noah Price tallied 14 points and five assists, while Luke Haiar and Kade Waldera each added seven points.

MITCHELL — Malek Wieker and Ethan Russell combined for 41 points as Class B No. 4 Aberdeen Christian picked up a boys basketball win over Class B No. 5 Platte-Geddes at Saturday’s Hanson Classic.

Wieker tallied a game-high 24 points, while Russell totaled 17 points and nine rebounds. Jackson Isakson added seven points and Kaden Clark dished out eight assists.

For PG, Cade Nachtigal scored 15 points and six boards and Dawson Hoffman recorded 13 points. Hayes Rabenberg and Caden Foxley each chipped in seven points.

MITCHELL — Class A No. 5 Sioux Valley used a 16-4 fourth quarter to pull away from Class A No. 4 Tea Area in a boys basketball game at Saturday’s Hanson Classic.

Oliver Vincent recorded 16 points, six rebounds, and nine assists to lead the Cossacks. Alec Squires tallied 12 points and seven rebounds and Patrick Carey totaled 11 points. Damian Danzeisen added eight points.

For Tea Area, Jeff Worth scored 14 points and Cael Lundin tallied 13 points. Cole Schilling added seven points and Reis Kirschenman grabbed nine boards.

DV’s Isaac Bruns led all scorers with 15 points, while Jaxson Wingert and Jaxon Hennies each scored 12 points.

STM was led by Cade Kandolin with 13 points, while Jordan Uhlir finished with nine points. Caleb Hollenbeck tallied eight points and eight rebounds, while Ian Clewley contributed seven points and eight rebounds. Will Green chipped in seven points and three assists.
