SIOUX FALLS — Jackson McClemans tossed a complete game on the mound to push Watertown to the Class A state championship on Saturday. The Arrows will play Brandon Valley in the state title game Saturday at 8:30 p.m..

McClemans took the win on the mound in seven complete innings, allowing two runs on nine hits, striking out three on just 85 pitches.

Carter Buisker had three hits in the win, Sam Olson added two hits and an RBI, Jonathan Lake had an RBI while Markus Pitkin, Maxx Sears, Ashton Rabine and Cain Everson each had an RBi on one hit in the win, including a homer by Sears.

For Yankton, Beck Ryken suffered the loss in three innings, allowing five runs on seven hits.

Sam Gokie had three hits, a triple, and an RBI, Easton Feser added two hits while Ryken collected an RBI-single in the loss.

Brandon Valley 6, Sioux Falls Jefferson 1

SIOUX FALLS — Taylor Melby’s complete game on the mound powered Brandon Valley over Sioux Falls Jefferson in the Class A state semifinals on Saturday. The Lynx will play Watertown in the state championship game Saturday night at 8:30 p.m.

Melby allowed just one run on three hits and three walks in seven innings of work, striking out six in the win.

Grady Gindorff drove in three runs on a hit and a walk for BV, Caleb Severin added an RBI on one hit, Brayden Knutson totaled two hits, a double, and an RBI while Ryan Fenton had two hits in the win as well.

For Jefferson, Caden Voss surrendered the loss, allowing four runs on six hits and a walk in three innings, striking out two.

Noah Kuenzi had an RBI on one hit while Easton Riley and Brody Jacobson each added a hit in the loss for the Cavs.
