Mount Vernon/Plankinton’s Emilee Fox tweeted her intentions to play college basketball at South Dakota State University on Oct. 7.

The sophomore averaged 20 points, 6.5 rebounds, five assists and three steals per game last season on her way to Class A first-team all-state honors. She shot 51 percent from the field and hit 60 3-pointers. 

She was a second-team all-stater as an eighth-grader in the 2019-20 season. The 5-foot-8 guard reportedly picked SDSU over scholarship offers from Nebraska, Wisconsin-Green Bay and South Dakota.
