Oct. 10 Volleyball Roundup - Ipswich outlasts Mobridge-Pollock in five sets

Ipswich 3, Mobridge-Pollock 2 

IPSWICH — Ipswich outlasted Mobridge-Pollock in five sets for a high school volleyball win on Monday. The set scores were 25-21, 12-25, 25-16, 22-25, and 15-13.

Ipswich was led by Baylee Kulesa with 22 kills and 17 digs, while Gracie Lange recorded 19 kills and two blocks. Quincy Olivier had three kills and 41 assists, while Madison Geditz tallied 33 digs, six aces, and two assists. Marley Guthmiller had three blocks, while Vanesa Diaz added one ace.

Mobridge-Pollock was led by Charley Henderson with 13 kills, eight digs, and three blocks, while Ryli Thompson had nine kills. Emma Keller logged six kills, eight digs, 16 assists, and two aces, while Reagan Weisbeck had 28 digs. Katy Kemnitz had 11 assists and three aces, while Sophia Overland had five blocks. Raelyn Aberle added two aces.


Elkton-Lake Benton 3, Iroquois/Lake Preston 0

ELKTON — Elkton-Lake Benton swept Iroquois/Lake Preston for a high school volleyball win on Monday. The set scores were 25-5, 25-9, and 25-14.

Elkton-Lake Benton’s Rachael Krog recorded seven kills and 12 digs. Krog also recorded her 2,000th career dig. Kailyn Drietz and Kylie Ramlo each had six kills, while Tevan Erickson had 22 assists and six digs. Kayla Goertz added seven digs.

I/LP was led by Faith Steffensen with three kills and seven digs. Adison Moore had 15 digs.


Baltic 3, Tri-Valley 0

COLTON — Baltic swept Tri-Valley in a high school volleyball match on Monday. The set scores were 25-19, 25-17, and 25-15.

Baltic’s Peyten Krull tallied eight kills, while Alyx Robbins had seven kills and three blocks. Madison Kennedy logged 13 digs, while Daynica Witzel  

Had nine digs and four aces. Emma Van Regenmorter had four aces, while Baily Teveldal added 18 assists.

Tri-Valley was led by Erica Bicknase with four kills, 14 digs, and one ace, while Maddie Wenzel had four kills, four blocks, and one ace. Megan Wenzel had four kills, one ace, and one block, while Nevaeh Grann had four kills. Brookelyn Stieben had seven digs and seven assists, while Lauren Grinde added two kills.


Colman-Egan 3, Oldham-Ramona/Rutland 1

RAMONA — Colman-Egan picked up a four-set volleyball win over Oldham-Ramona/Rutland on Monday. The set scores were 21-25, 25-19, 25-11, and 25-21.

Colman-Egan’s Kadance Landis logged 10 kills, three blocks, and two aces, while Daniela Lee had nine kills, 13 digs, eight blocks, and four assists. Abby Rohde had nine kills and seven blocks, while Kaylee Voelker tallied 16 digs and four aces. Lanie Mousel had 16 assists and two aces, while Ava Mousel had nine assists. Berkley Groos added 11 digs.

ORR was led by Julia Trygstad with 22 kills, nine digs, and four blocks, while Alivia Bickett tallied seven kills, 11 digs, and three aces. Paige Hanson had 21 assists, while Brooklyn Hageman had 15 assists. Camlin Schneider added two aces.


Viborg-Hurley 3, Scotland 0

SCOTLAND — Viborg-Hurley swept Scotland in high school volleyball action on Monday. The set scores were 25-13, 26-24, and 25-18.

Viborg-Hurley’s Coral Mason logged 17 kills, 15 digs, and three aces, while Mataya Vannorsdel logged 24 assists. Charley Nelson had three aces, while Denae Mach added two blocks.

Scotland’s Trinity Bietz recorded 11 kills and eight digs, while Martina DeBoer had six kills, 10 digs, and three blocks. Grace Robb had four kills and 13 digs, while Kalley Vitek had 15 digs and 10 assists. Claire Janish had 10 digs and six assists, while Bailey Vitek had 10 digs.


Howard 3, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 0 

HOWARD — Howard swept Sanborn Central/Woonsocket in high school volleyball action on Monday. The set scores were 25-18, 25-13, and 25-18.

Howard was led by Kate Connor with 15 kills, two blocks, and two aces, while Landree Callies had six kills and two aces. Piper Thompson logged six kills and 16 digs, while Canyon Kidd tallied 22 digs. Abby Aslesen had six blocks, while Rylee Rudebusch and Tana Hoyer added 23 and four assists, respectively.

SCW’s Kailynn Eggleston tallied seven kills, while Kenna Ochsner recorded five kills, 13 digs, and two blocks. Bella Fry tallied 14 digs and one ace, while Bailey Feistner had 10 assists and one ace. Kenlie Fridley added seven assists.


Deubrook Area 3, Webster Area 0 

WHITE — Deubrook Area swept Webster Area for a high school volleyball win on Monday. The set scores were 25-9, 25-15, and 25-14.

Deubrook Area was led by Zoey Molengraaf with nine kills and two blocks, while Skyla Petersen had eight kills. Kyarra Blum tallied seven kills, while Delaney Pedersen and Miranda Moravetz each logged 14 digs and two aces. Brooke Koppatschek and Ellie Koenig added 16 and 10 assists, respectively.

Webster Area’s Elliott Steiner tallied five kills, while Gracie Cadwell logged six kills, 14 digs, and one ace. Baylie Somsen had six assists and one ace, while Jersey Johnson added 15 digs.
