Class AA finalists -- Sioux Falls O’Gorman and Sioux Falls Washington -- were well represented on the all-state volleyball team, which was selected by the South Dakota Volleyball Coaches Association.

O’Gorman, which defeated Washington in five sets in the title match, landed two players on the all-state team, including first-team selection Bergen Reilly. O’Gorman’s Brogan Beck was a second-team selection. 

Washington’s Joslyn Richardson and Ellie Walker were first-team honorees, while Jadyn Schetnan was a second-team selection. 

Brandon Valley’s Liz Kopp, Harrisburg’s Abby Meister, Sioux Falls Lincoln’s Brynn Kirsch and Sioux Falls Roosevelt’s Elizabeth Denevan were also first-team selections.

Kopp, a senior setter, posted 828 assists for the Lynx. Kopp, who will play at the University of Sioux Falls next season, was also an all-tourney selection at state this season. 

Meister, a senior outside hitter, racked up 350 kills and 437 digs this season. Meister, who will play volleyball at Southwest Minnesota State University, also landed on the Class AA all-tourney team this season.

Reilly, a junior setter/hitter, recorded 186 kills, 164 digs and 366 assists this season. Reilly, who has verbally committed to the University of Nebraska volleyball team, was also an all-tourney pick this season. 

A senior libero, Kirsch logged 516 digs this season. Kirsch will play volleyball next season at the University of Kansas.  

Denevan, a senior setter, recorded 941 assists and 363 digs. She finished her career with more than 3,000 assists and was an all-tourney selection this season. 

Richardson, a junior outside hitter, racked up 396 kills and 389 digs. Walker, a senior outside hitter, finished with 95 aces and 320 kills this season. She will play volleyball next season at Augustana University. Richardson was an all-tourney selection. 

Huron’s Emily Dale, Pierre’s Ayvrie Kaiser, Mitchell’s Lizzie Tyler, Sioux Falls Lincoln’s Baily Plourde and Sioux Falls Roosevelt’s Mya Vandrovec were also second-team honorees.
