Wagner’s Shalayne Nagel announced her intentions to play college at the Dakota Wesleyan University on Thursday.

The 5-foot-11 guard/forward averaged 11.2 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game last season for Wagner. She also scored her 1,000th career point last season for Wagner, which finished fourth at the Class A state tourney.

Nagel was also an all-conference selection for the Red Raiders, who finished 22-3 and made state for the first time since 2009. Nagel is the younger of Chesney Nagel, a starter on DWU’s national championship team in 2018.
