  Lennox boys, Centerville girls win track titles at Alcester-Hudson meet

ALCESTER — The Lennox boys and Centerville girls picked up team track titles at Tuesday’s Alcester-Hudson Invitational. 

The Lennox boys ran away with the team title scoring 225 points, ahead of Beresford (83) and Canistota (80). The Centerville girls scored 122 points, ahead of Lennox (109) and Gayville-Volin (98). 

Lennox’s Layne Kuper was a double-winner taking the 110-meter hurdles (:15.58) and the 300-meter hurdles (:41.65). Noah Sayler won the 1,600 meter run (4:49.55), Cody Peterson the shot put (47-00.25) and Tate Gerdes in the triple jump (40-2.5). The Orioles claimed relay titles in the 400-meter relay (:45.67) the 1,600 meter relay (3:40.81) and the sprint medley relay (3:57.37).

Canistota’s Tage Ortman earned the sprint double, winning the 100-meter dash (:11.42) and the 200-meter dash (:22.96). 

Beresford’s Andrew Atwood won the 800-meter run (1:58.66). 

In girls action Centerville’s Bailey Hansen won the 300-meter hurdles (:51.19). The Centerville quartet of Rylie Tieman, Lillee Shearer, Harper Wattier and Lillie Eide won the 800-meter relay (1:53.23). The Centerville girls also won the 1,600 meter relay (4:23.97). Centerville’s Rylie Tieman also captured the long jump (15-10.75).

Colman-Egan’s Daniela Lee was a double-winner taking the 100-meter dash (:12.43) and the 200-Meter dash (:25.90).

In one of the top performances of the day Lennox senior Emily Plucker won the 800-meter run with a time of (2:18.49)
