SALEM — The Canton boys have won six consecutive Class B state wrestling tournaments. With a number of top Class B teams in attendance at Friday’s MCM Invitational the C-Hawks, and the way Canton handled all of those teams suggests the C-Hawks will be favored to win again in February. 

Behind five individual champions Canton scored 252 points, well ahead of Philip Area (184.5) and Winner Area (168). Bon Homme/Avon (162) and Kimball/White Lake/Platte-Geddes.

Canton’s champions were Carter Kendrick (106), Zach Bartles (120), Ashton Keller (132), Teague Granham (144), Ayson Rice (150) all won titles for the C-Hawks. 

Philip Area’s Kale Crowser (157) and Burk Blasius (175) each won titles while Winner Area’s Maxton Brozik (126) and Karson Keiser (138) each won titles. 

Other championships were claimed by Marion/Freeman’s Brody Gossen (113), Howard’s Jackson Remmers (165), Burke/Gregory’s Jhett Eklund (190), Parker’s Levi Wieman (215) and Redfield’s Gredy Fey (285).
