ABERDEEN — The Clark/Willow girls team ran away with the Aberdeen Roncalli Invitational title, while Deuel edged Great Plains Lutheran for the boys title at Lee Park Golf Course on Thursday. 

The Clark/Willow Lake girls scored only 11 points to win the team title, ahead of Aberdeen Roncalli (16) and Deuel (26). Florence/Henry (53) and Great Plains Lutheran (55) rounded out the top-five teams. 

Deuel and Great Plains Lutheran tied with both teams scoring 27 points as their fifth runner, Dominic Kluckman finished in front of Great Plains Lutheran’s fifth runner, Seth Grams. Lisbon, North Dakota (32), Clark Willow Lake (36) and Aberdeen Roncalli (42) rounded out the top-five 

Clark/Willow Lake Lake’s Kamryn Nesheim covered the 5,000-meter course with a time of 20:08, ahead of Deuel’s Jaycee Hourigan (20:39) and Waubay/Summit’s Madison Zirbel. Aberdeen Roncalli’s Sarah Schmidt (21:45) and Clark/Willow Lake’s Hadley Gjerde (21:46) rounded out the top-five finishers. 

In the boys individual competition, Tri-State’s Kaleb Foltz won with a time of 17:33, ahead of Lisbon, ND’s Lincoln Adair (17:39) and Clark/Willow Lake’s Cooper Pommer. Wakpala’s Martin Plenty Chief (18:52) and Great Plains Lutheran’s Thad Katz (18:54) rounded out the top-five finishers.
