WEBSTER — The Clark/Willow Lake girls and Frederick Area boys won cross-country titles at Monday’s Webster Invitational.
The Clark/Willow Lake girls scored 22 points finishing ahead of Frederick Area (41) and James Valley Christian (53). Deuel (57) and Warner (66) rounded out the top-five teams.
The Frederick Area boys won the team title with 19 points, ahead of Clark/Willow Lake (39) and Deuel (40). Faulkton (60) and Webster Area (86) rounded out the top-five.
In the girls individual race Clark/Willow Lake’s Kamryn Nesheim won the girls race with a time of 19 minutes and :59.08 seconds, ahead of Deuel’s Jaycee Hourigan (20:32) and Waubay/Summit’s Madison Zirbel (20:48). Frederick Area’s Morgan Sumption (21:04) and Warner’s Kennadee Wagner (21:37) rounded out the top-five finishers.
In the boys individual race Tri-State’s Kaleb Foltz 17:33 finished well ahead of Frederick Area’s Milo Sumption (18:42) and Ipswich’s Xavier Kadlec, 19:12. Clark/Willow Lake’s Cooper Pommer (19:15) and Langford Area’s Kalen Godel 19:37) rounded out the top-five male runners.
