ABERDEEN — Waubay/Summit edged Castlewood to win the consolation championship at the Class B tournament on Saturday.

The Mustangs were led by Jonathan Johnston with 11 points and eight rebounds, while Jackson Wohlleber recorded nine points. J. Gulbraa tallied eight points and six rebounds, while Damon Opdahl and Seth Gaikowski each scored six points and five rebounds.

Castlewood was led by Tristan Nielsen with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Bryon Laue finished with eight points and seven rebounds. Lane Tvedt added seven points and three steals.


Aberdeen Christian 72, Freeman Academy/Marion 65

ABERDEEN — Aberdeen Christian held off Freeman Academy/Marion in the seventh place game at the Class B tournament on Saturday.

Malek Wieker led the Knights with 27 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists, while Ethan Russell recorded 21 points and seven rebounds. Jackson Isakson added 11 points and eight rebounds.

Freeman Academy/Marion was led by Quincy Blue with 22 points and six rebounds, while Connor Epp finished with 20 points, five rebounds, and five assists. Thalen Schroeder added 14 points and nine rebounds. 


White River 83, Potter County 74

ABERDEEN — White River outlasted Potter County for third place at the Class B tournament on Saturday.

The Tigers were led by a monster performance from Joe Sayler, who scored 37 points and 10 rebounds. Dylan Marshall recorded 18 points, 10 assists, and seven rebounds, while Gavin Folkers tallied 13 points. Nicolas Marshall added nine points.

Potter County was led by Grant Luikens with 31 points and nine rebounds, while Cooper Logan recorded 16 points and five rebounds. Drake Bassett scored 15 points, while Seth Sharp added 10 points and 11 rebounds.
