As wrestling season gets underway this week one of the top Class B athletes to keep an eye on Miller/Highmore-Harrold senior Kellan Hurd, who is aiming for a third consecutive Class B title.

In 2023, Hurd earned a championship at 126 pounds with a 6-3 win over Kimbal/White Lake/Platte-Geddes wrestler Kasen Konstanz. Last year, Hurd outlasted Webster Area’s Haedon Jorgenson 2-1 in a match that was decided in the first tiebreaker.
