Hanson 48, McCook Central/Montrose 41

ALEXANDRIA — Hanson held off McCook Central/Montrose for a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Hanson’s Jayce Slaba logged 25 points, while Sutton Dewald had nine points. Isayah Price posted eight points.

For MCM, Owen Alley had 10 points and Jackson Schmidt scored nine points. 


Chester 63, Howard 60

HOWARD — Chester clipped Howard for a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Chester’s Jovi Wolf finished with 26 points and hit six 3-pointers. Layke Wold posted 15 points and three 3-pointers. Jaxton Opdahl had nine points. 

For Howard, Luke Koepsell posted 21 points. Logan Mentele had 16 points and five 3-pointers. Kolt Koepsell logged 14 points. 


Castlewood 75, Elkton-Lake Benton 32

ELKTON — Three players scored in double figures to pace Class B No. 2 Castlewood to a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Castlewood’s Lane Tvedt logged 18 points and seven rebounds. Bryon Laue added 16 points and five boards. Luke Baumberger posted 15 points. Jamison Keszler had nine points.

For ELB, Tanner Drietz recorded 13 points. Colt Beck scored six points. 


Hamlin 68, Flandreau 27

FLANDREAU — Class A No. 2 Hamlin picked up a boys basketball win over Flandreau on Tuesday.

Hamlin’s Tyson Stevenson and Zac VanMeeteren scored 11 points apiece. Jackson Wadsworth had 10 points. Easton Neuendorf and Evan Stormo scored eight points apiece. Dawson Noem scored eight points. 

Flandreau’s Luke Sheppard finished with eight points and six rebounds. Paul Parsley had six points.


Dakota Valley 87, Beresford 63

BERESFORD — Class A No. Dakota Valley pulled past Beresford for a boys basketball win on Tuesday. The Panthers won their 55th straight boys basketball game, the longest streak in Class A history.

Dakota Valley’s Jaxson Wingert finished with 23 points. Luke Bruns posted 22 points, five assists, five rebounds and five steals. Logan Collette posted 12 points and four assists. Drew Lukken and Grant Van Den Hul scored seven points apiece. Tyler Cornelsen scored five points.


Viborg-Hurley 66, Bridgewater-Emery 34

VIBORG — Class B No. 4 Viborg-Hurley pulled away from Bridgewater-Emery for a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Viborg-Hurley’s Nick Hanson finished with 23 points, while Brady Schroedermeier had 12 points and four assists. 

For BE, Ben Weber posted 18 points and Holden Wollman scored nine points. 


Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 69, Hitchcock-Tulare 45

WOONSOCKET — Four players scored in double figures to pace Sanborn Central/Woonsocket to a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

SCW’s Jeff Boschee finished with 20 points, while Cody Slykhuis had 17 points. Trey Moody and McCoy Schulz had 13 points apiece. Moody added 15 rebounds and Slykhuis posted seven boards. 

For HT, Erik Salmen had 18 points and Jackson Maynard posted eight points. Patrick Maynard had seven points. 


Winner 57, Stanley County 24

WINNER — Shawn Hammerbeck and Ryder Halligan powered Winner to a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Hammerbeck finished with 17 points and six rebounds. Halligan added 15 points and four assists. Aiden Barfuss finished with nine points. Hunter Craven had seven points. 

For Stanley County, Kaden Montana scored 11 points and Broch Zeeb added 10 points. 


Waubay-Summit 66, Webster Area 38

WAUBAY — Waubay-Summit pulled past Webster Area for a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Jackson Wohlleber finished with 21 points and hit three 3-pointers. Traveion Neilan had 14 points. Camden Neilan added nine points. Jared Purdy and Dylan Rumpza scored seven points apiece. Tigh Gaikowski logged five points. 

For Webster Area, Jacob Keller scored nine points. Jack Shoemaker scored eight points and Jeron McCreary scored seven points. 


Wolsey-Wessington 69, Iroquois/Lake Preston 32

IROQUOIS — Moshe Richmond and Tate French combined to score 45 points in a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Richmond finished with 25 points, while French added 20 points. Caleb Richmond scored nine points. Colin Hughes added five points. 

For Iroquois/Lake Preston, Josh McMasters finished with 16 points. Lucas Peskey had seven points and Rexton Blue had five points. 


Leola-Frederick Area 70, Oakes, N.D., 56

FREDERICK — Leola-Frederick Area picked up a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Brayden Sumption tossed in 24 points, while Noah Kippley had 22 points. Gavin Nickelson scored eight points.


Madison 46, Tri-Valley 43

MADISON — Madison held off Tri-Valley for a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Madison’s Ben Brooks posted 15 points, while Elijah Sims logged seven points. Andrew Comes finished with six points, while Myles Schneider had five points. 

For Tri-Valley, Brady Jewett had 16 points. Alex Wingen added seven points. Tristen Bunde and Trey Johnson scored six points apiece. 


Vermillion 62, West Central 55

HARTFORD — Bryson Skogsberg and Trey Hansen combined to score 34 points to pace Vermillion to a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Skogsberg finished with 21 points, while Hansen had 13 points. 

West Central’s Crew Heier posted 15 points, four rebounds and three assists. Jake Kuhl logged 12 rebounds. Brodie Herr and Connor Mebius scored 10 points apiece. Trevin Price had five boards. 


Mitchell 69, Watertown 42

MITCHELL — Three players scored in double figures to lift Class AA No. 3 Mitchell to a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Mitchell’s Colton Smith finished with 24 points, six rebounds and three steals. Markus Talley added 19 points, while Gavin Hinker logged 10 points. Gavin Soukup posted nine points and four assists. Sutton Thompson had five points.

For Watertown, Caden Beauchamp logged 12 points. Kohen Kranz and Will Engstrom scored 10 points apiece.
