McCook Central/Montrose 58, Wessington Springs 38

PARKSTON — McCook Central/Montrose picked up a 20-point girls basketball win at the Parkston Classic on Tuesday.

MCM’s Mya Morrison finished with 16 points. Mandi Schock scored 14 points. Ella DeKnikker had nine points. Natalie Lueth added eight points. Karlie Stiefvater recorded six points. 

For Wessington Springs, Mariah Messmer logged 10 points. Kerstynn Heim and Kenzie Kolousek scored nine points apiece. 


Parkston 63, Viborg-Hurley 33

PARKSTON — Three players scored in double figures to pace Parkston to a girls basketball on Tuesday at the Parkston Classic.

Parkston’s Berkley Ziebart had 23 points, eight rebounds, four steals and three 3-pointers. Keeara Oakley had 12 points and five rebounds. Morgan Maxwell added 10 points. Mya Thuringer recorded eight points.

For VH, Jenna Graves recorded 10 points. Olivia Hanson had nine points, while Charley Nelson had seven points. Kendra Gilbert had seven points. 


Centerville 69, Beresford 43

CENTERVILLE — Class B No. 1 Centerville improved to 6-0 with a girls basketball win over Beresford on Tuesday.

Centerville’s Izzie Eide logged 23 points and six rebounds. Emma Marshall added 21 points and 10 rebounds. Althea Gust had 10 points. Tessa Eide had seven rebounds, three points and four assists.

For Beresford, Harley Koth had 12 points and Ella Merriman added nine points. 


Castlewood 44, Arlington 38

CASTLEWOOD — Castlewood clipped Arlington for a girls basketball win on Tuesday. 

Castlewood’s Natalie Akin finished with nine points, while Claire Horn and Bryn Schooley had eight points apiece. Sophia Kudrna had seven points. Ava Ruml and Cassidy Kirwan had six points apiece. 

Arlington’s Jaelyn Huntimer finished with 25 points, three 3-pointers and three rebounds. Sony Johnson had 10 rebounds and three points. 


Dakota Valley 62, Wall 36

PARKSTON — Dakota Valley coasted past Wall for a girls basketball win at the Parkston Classic on Tuesday.

Dakota Valley’s Bella Stukes finished with 20 points. Ella Otten finished with 10 points. Cameryn Sommervold had nine points. Alexa Verdoorn had eight points. Aubree Worden had six points and Emerson Mead recorded six points.  

For Wall, Brittney Walker had 12 points. Kamryn Kjerstad finished with nine points. Allie Kjerstad posted eight points. 


Clark/Willow Lake 72, Milbank 39

MILBANK — Brynn Roehrich powered Clark/Willow Lake to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Roehrich finished with 26 points and seven rebounds. Kamryn Nesheim added 16 points. Shelby Begeman recorded eight points. Johanna Vandersnick and Jenny Bevers scored six points apiece. 

Milbank’s Isabella Anderson recorded 18 points and Tyra Berry scored nine points. Claire Snaza added eight rebounds and four points. 


Avon 41, Irene-Wakonda 20

IRENE — Avon jumped out to a 21-2 first-quarter lead en route to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Avon’s Alexis Vanderlei recorded 20 points and eight rebounds. Rilyn Thury posted nine points, six assists and five rebounds. Kaeli Wallinga added six points and seven rebounds. Lila Vanderlei had nine rebounds and four points.

For IW, Madison Orr had nine points and 11 boards. Maryn Lyngstad had six points and three rebounds. 


Deubrook Area 49, Garretson 18

WHITE — Deubrook Area coasted by Garretson for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Deubrook Area’s Mataya Graves finished with 14 points, while Kylee Johnson scored nine points. Zoey Molengraaf added eight points. Clare Jorenby had six points.

For Garretson, Taylor Benson scored four points. 


Harrisburg 49, Yankton 39

HARRISBURG — Harrisburg defeated Yankton in girls basketball action on Tuesday.

Harrisburg’s Kinley Lawrenson finished with 19 points.

Yankton’s Eden Wolfgram posted 26 points.
