PLATTE — Ethan/Parkston swept team titles at Thursday’s Platte-Geddes Last Chance Meet.
The Ethan/Parkston boys recorded 133.5 points, ahead of Mount Vernon/Plankinton (86) and Chamberlain (82.5).
The Ethan/Parkston girls scored 182 points, ahead of Platte-Geddes (128) and Wagner (91).
In boys action, Ethan/Parkston’s Connor Prunty won the 100-meter dash (:11.50), ahead of teammates Mark Deckert (:11.54) and Luke Bormann (:11.77).
Ethan/Parkston’s Evan Bartelt won the 1,600-meter run (4:50.34), ahead of teammate David Brock (5:06.11).
Ethan/Parkston’s James Deckert won the long jump (22-2.25) and triple jump (41-10.5).
The Ethan/Parkston boys also won the 400-meter relay (:43.58), the 1,600-meter relay (3:30.57)
Platte-Geddes’ Carson Vanden Berge won the 200-meter dash (:23.03), ahead of teammate Skyler Hanten (:23.15). Vanden Berge and Hanten were on the winning 800-meter relay (1:30.34).
Todd County’s Chris Ellert captured a first-place finish in the 400-meter dash (:53.94).
Miller’s Alex Schumacher won the 800-meter run in 1:57.20 and teammate Pierce Baumberger won the 3,200-meter run (10:33.75).
Winner’s Austin Blare won the 110-meter hurdles (:16.33). Wagner’s Jhett Breen won the 300-meter hurdles (:40.38) and teammate Parker Bailey won the pole vault (12-1). Bailey also finished second in the triple jump (40-8).
Winner’s Shawn Hammerbeck won the shot put (47-11.5) and discus (156-0). Hammerbeck also placed second in the javelin, behind Wagner’s Javian Pesicka (148-3).
The Winner boys won the 3,200-meter relay (8:23.82) and sprint medley relay (3:38.84).
In girls action, Mount Vernon/Plankinton’s Berkeley Engelland won the 100-meter dash (:12.64), 200-meter dash (:25.61) and 400-meter dash (:55.32). MVP’s Reagan Rus won the 100-meter hurdles (:15.97) and 300-meter hurdles (:46.45).
Platte-Geddes’ Taylor Schrank won the 800-meter run (2:23.12) and teammate Claire Maydew won the pole vault (9-7). Maydew placed second in the long jump (16-1).
Chamberlain’s Kinsey Evans won the 1,600-meter run (5:15.26) and was on the winning 3,200-meter relay (9:52.32). Evans also anchored the winning sprint medley relay (4:25.86).
Ethan/Parkston’s Ella Pollreisz won the 3,200-meter run (11:52.79).
Chamberlain’s Tobi Peterson won the shot put (39-6), third in the javelin (99-1) and finished fourth in the discus (106-6).
Scotland’s Trinity Bietz won the discus (117-10), placed second in the javelin (109-5) and placed second in the shot put (39-1).
Wagner’s Ashlyn Koupal won the high jump (5-4) and placed third in the shot put (34-4).
Scotland’s Olivia Binde won the javelin (111-1) and finished second in the pole vault (8-7).
Ethan/Parkston’s Lauren Ziebart won the long jump (16-9.5). Ethan/Parkston’s Berkley Ziebart won the triple jump (32-7) and finished third in the long jump (15-11.5).
The Winner girls won the 400-meter relay (:51.05). The Ethan/Parkston girls won the 800-meter relay (1:51.57) and the 1,600-meter relay (4:09.71).
