Faulkton Area's Spencer Melius records three first-place finishes at Sully Buttes Early Bird

ONIDA — Faulkton Area’s Spencer Melius was a triple winner at Tuesday’s Sully Buttes Early Bird Meet. 

Melius won the javelin (152-5), the 110-meter hurdles (:17.33) and 300-meter hurdles (:44.97). 

Potter County’s Carter Luikens won the 200-meter dash (:24.70) and 400-meter dash (:52.45). 

Potter County’s Nicholas Schlachter was a double winner in the 1,600-meter run (4:59.02) and 3,200-meter run (10:55.00). 

Pierre’s Eladio Simental won the high jump (6-0) and long jump (20-1). 

The Timber Lake boys won the 400-meter relay (:46.64), 800-meter relay (1:36.82) and 1,600-meter relay (3:43.29).

In girls action, Potter County’s Megan Seurer won the 100-meter dash (:13.51) and 200-meter dash (:29.43). Seurer also ran the lead leg on Potter County’s winning 800-meter relay (1:57.19). The Battlers also won the 1,600-meter relay (4:20.10) and 3,200-meter relay (10:26.37). 

Highmore-Harrold’s Autumn Fallis earned first-place finishes in the 1,600-meter run (5:41.29) and 3,200-meter run (12:46.50). 

Timber Lake’s Jasmine Nash won the shot put (35-5.25) and placed second in the discus (94-2.25). Timber Lake’s Averie Marshall won the long jump (14-8.75) and placed second in the 100-meter dash (:13.61).
