Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 63, Iroquois/Lake Preston 38 

FORESTBURG — Sanborn Central/Woonsocket coasted past Iroquois/Lake Preston for a boys basketball win on Thursday. 

SCW's Jeff Boschee finished with 25 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and three steals. Cody Slykhius had 19 points and nine rebounds. Trey Moody posted six points and 11 rebounds.


Andes Central/Dakota Christian 54, Kimball/White Lake 41

NEW HOLLAND — Andes Central/Dakota Christian pulled away from Kimball/White Lake for a boys basketball win on Thursday.

ACDC’s Peter Backes and Ryder Niewenhuis scored 13 points apiece. Garth Maas added 10 points. Hunter Loeffler and Jamian Medicine Horn scored seven points apiece. 

KWL’s Blake Leiferman finished with 16 points, while Keaton Christensen scored nine points. Park Sinclair added six points and Martin Josserand scored five points.


Howard 54, Viborg-Hurley 53

HOWARD — Howard rallied from a 38-26 halftime deficit and edged Class B No. 5 Viborg-Hurley for a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Howard’s Luke Koepsell finished with 18 points, while Kolt Koepsell added 15 points. Colby Claussen scored eight points and Taiden Hoyer had seven points. 

Viborg-Hurley’s Nick Hanson scored 19 points. Devin Sayler added nine points. Nolan Kolthoff, Bryson Morrison and Brady Schroedermeier scored six points apiece. 


Canistota 63, Irene-Wakonda 39

CANISTOTA — Three players reached double-figures as Canistota ran past Irene-Wakonda in boys basketball action Thursday. 

Brady Scott powered Canistota with 21 points, two rebounds, five assists and five steals. Brandon Kjetland finished with 18 points, 11 rebounds and five assists. Tage Ortman chipped in with 11 points, five rebounds, six assists and four steals. 

Jens Hansen led Irene-Wakonda with 12 points. Sam Hansen added eight points, three rebounds and three steals for the Eagles. 


Ipswich 48, Potter County 34

IPSWICH — Big nights from Trevor Heinz and Jace Konsor helped Ipswich get past Potter County in boys basketball action Thursday.

Heinz powered Ipswich with 19 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Jace Konsor added 12 points, three rebounds and two steals. Chet Peterson chipped in with eight points and 12 rebounds. 

Ryder Falkenhagen led Potter County with 10 points, five rebounds and six steals. Carter Luikens had six points and 10 rebounds.


Deubrook Area 55, Elkton-Lake Benton 41

DEUBROOK — A balanced scoring attack helped Deubrook Area earn a win over Elkton-Lake Benton in boys basketball action Thursday. 

Colton Trooien led the Dolphins with 17 points. Landon Johnson added 11 points while JP Rogness and Jake Jorenby each scored eight points. 

Tanner Drietz led Elkton-Lake Benton with 14 points. 


Sully Buttes 67, Faulkton Area 60 

ONIDA — Wesley Wittler and Gavin Colson combined for 50 points to pace Sully Buttes to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Wittler netted 34 points, while Colson added 16 points. 

Faulkton Area’s Layne Cotton tossed in 30 points.


Wolsey-Wessington 69, Hitchcock-Tulare 31

HITCHCOCK — Big nights from Tate French and Moshe Richmond helped Wolsey-Wessington pick up a road win over Hitchcock-Tulare. 

French knocked down three 3-pointers on his way to a team high 21 points. Moshe Richmond added 19 points. Grant Timm chipped in with eight points. 

Erik Salmen led Hitchcock-Tulare with eight points. Jackson Maynard finished with seven points while Patrick Maynard scored six points. 

 

Tea Area 53, Yankton 41

YANKTON — Three players scored in double figures to pace Tea Area to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Tea Area’s Sam Almas logged 15 points and four rebounds. Marshall Smythe added 13 points. Boston Willemssen posted 11 points and 12 rebounds. Jessen Wiebenga had eight points. 

Yankton’s Landon Potts posted 12 points and eight rebounds. Tucker Gilmore logged 10 points. Matthew Sheldon added nine points. Carson Ness posted six points and six rebounds.


Sioux Falls Christian 93, Sioux Center, Iowa, 64

SIOUX CENTER, Iowa — Four players scored in double figures to pace Class A No. 1 Sioux Falls Christian to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Christian’s Britton Mulder logged 20 points, while Cole Snyder added 17 points. Cooper Goodbary had 16 points and Carson Nickles scored 14 points.
