Tripp-Delmont/Armour 48, Marty 41

AVON — Mia Reiner powered Tripp-Delmont/Armour to a girls basketball victory over Marty at Saturday’s Great Plains Conference Classic.

Reiner finished with a game-high 36 points, 20 rebounds and two steals, Abby Wieczorek added five points and eight boards while Marissa Leonard recorded five points, four rebounds and two steals for the Nighthawks.

Marty’s Rozario Zephier tallied 14 points while Zoe Waln added 10 points for the Braves.


Tri-Valley 57, Milbank 54

MILBANK — Mattie Huwe dropped 21 points as Tr-Valley clipped Milbank during Saturday’s high school girls basketball action.

Huwe finished with 21 points and four steals, Kadence Davey tallied 12 points and three rebounds, Izzy Davey totaled 12 points and three steals while Danicka Fluth had four points and four rebounds in the win.

Milbank’s Belle Pauli had a double-double in the loss with 18 points and 10 rebounds, Tyra Berry recorded 12 points, eight assists and five rebounds, Claire Snaza had nine points and six rebounds, while Avery Schuneman and Isabella Anderson each had six points in the loss, including 10 rebounds by Anderson.

 

Centerville 65, Andes Central-Dakota Christian 52

AVON — Four players scored in double figures as Centerville claimed the Great Plains Conference Championship Saturday.

Izzie Eide led the Tornadoes with 19 points, Althea Gust had 15 points, six assists and two steals, Emma Marshall recorded 15 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals, while Keira Austin totaled 10 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals in the win.

ACDC’s Gabriella Olson tallied 18 points and seven rebounds, Nadia VanZuidam had 11 points and six rebounds, Halle Olson collected eight points and seven rebounds while Leah Brown tallied five points, four rebounds and two steals in the loss.


Alcester-Hudson 45, Freeman Academy-Marion 36

AVON — Emma Solberg’s 18 points lifted Alcester-Hudson to a girls basketball victory at the Great Plains Conference Classic.

Solberg finished with 18 points and eight rebounds, Jenna Manning added nine points and three boards, Delta Pies had eight points, four rebounds and three blocks while Kaeley Christensen  tallied three steals in the win.

FAM’s Karley Luke recorded 14 points while Hailey Stahl had 11 rebounds in the loss.


Gayville-Volin 45, Corsica-Stickney 38

AVON — A balanced scoring attack powered Gayville-Volin to a girls basketball victory at the Great Plains Conference Classic Saturday.

Taylor Hoxeng had 14 points, four rebounds and three assists, Ayla Dimmer tallied nine points, Paisley Dimmer and Maria Achen each scored eight points, combining for 25 rebounds, four assists and four steals in the win.

CS’s Braylee Bordewyk had 19 points and five rebounds in the loss while Sophie DeLange had 11 points and four steals for the Jaguars.


Avon 58, Burke 39

AVON — Rilyn Thury dropped 26 points in Avon’s victory over Burke Saturday at the Great Plains Conference Classic.

Thury finished with 26 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and three steals, Lila Vanderlei tallied 15 points, five assists, five steals and three rebounds while Alexis Vanderlei recorded five points and six rebounds in the win.

Burke’s Annie Connot had 10 points and six rebounds, Emmie Hausmann totaled nine points and four assists while Paige Bull netted eight points and six rebounds in the loss.


Scotland-Menno 41, Irene-Wakonda 36

AVON — Scotland-Menno defeated Irene-Wakonda at the Great Plains Conference Classic Saturday.

Trinity Bietz and Nora Robb each had eight points, Emily Dvorak tallied eight rebounds and five steals while Lexie McNinch added seven rebounds and five steals in the win.

IW’s Madison Orr tallied 10 points, seven rebounds and two blocks while Ava George and Emily Oien each had seven points and two steals in the loss.


Faith 52, Castlewood 44

WARNER — A balanced scoring attack propelled Faith to a girls basketball victory over Castlewood Saturday at the Warner Classic.

TyAnn Mortenson led with 14 points, Jae’cyn Starr had 11 points, Raynee Jones totaled eight points, Kambelle Schauer had seven points, Katelyb Totten tallied six points while Kaylee Smith added nine points in the win.

Castlewood’s Cassidy Kirwan had 13 points, four rebounds and two steals, Natalie Akin tallied 10 points and three assists, while Sophia Kudrna netted seven points in the loss.


North Central 58, Northwestern 44

EUREKA — Amree Vander Vorst dropped 31 points in North Central’s win over Northwestern Saturday.

Vander Vorst had 31 points and six rebounds, while Ella Batie and Alaina Dosch each recorded nine points.

Northwestern’s Adriana Ratigan tallied 14 points, Ashley Haven had nine points, while Lilly Haven and Tara Blanchford totaled eight points in the loss.


Sioux Valley 67, Parker 38

VOLGA — Three players scored in double figures in Sioux Valley’s win over Parker Saturday.

Kailey Cradduck finished with 14 points and six rebounds for the Cossacks, Talya Vincent added 14 points, Liberty Trygstad totaled 12 points while Keyra Kruse and Amari Ward each had eight points and five rebounds in the win.

Parker’s Jenna VanVelzen tallied 17 points in the loss, Kyla Fosheim recorded eight points while Paieg Haase totaled seven points and three rebounds for the Pheasants.


Rapid City Central 61, Yankton 49

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures during Rapid City Central’s win over Yankton Saturday.

Leah Landry had 20 points and six rebounds. Chloe Shreve finished with 15 points and five rebounds, Olivia Pierce tallied 13 points while Colee Kruse added nine points and eight rebounds in the win.

Yankton’s Nora Krajewski tallied a game-high 30 points while September Raunch had 10 points and six rebounds in the loss.
