Tripp-Delmont/Armour 54, Marty 49

SCOTLAND — Three players scored in double figures to pace Tripp-Delmont/Armour to the Great Plains Conference boys basketball championship.

Isaac Wunder logged 23 points, 10 rebounds and four assists. Riley Spaans added 16 points and 13 rebounds. Mason Reiner had 11 points and 13 rebounds. 

Marty’s Greg Zephier had 17 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Tate Elk Soldier had 10 points. Avander Galvin logged eight points, while Todd LaPlante had six points. Terrill Rave recorded five points and 10 rebounds. 


Centerville 50, Corsica-Stickney 35

SCOTLAND — Three players scored in double figures to power Centerville to a boys basketball win on Saturday.

Centerville’s Cole Edberg had 15 points and three rebounds. Alec Austin added 12 points and four rebounds. Aiden Bobzin finished with 11 points and five assists.

Corsica-Stickney’s Tyson Wentland had 14 points and 15 rebounds. Luca Catapano added seven points. Carter Wright posted six rebounds and four points. 


Freeman Academy/Marion 64, Avon 57 

SCOTLAND — Four players scored in double figures to power Freeman Academy/Marion to a boys basketball win on Saturday.

FAM’s Taylor Goodwin had 16 points and three steals. Karter Weber added 16 points, nine rebounds and six assists. Jackson Donlan added 16 points, six rebounds and three assists. Liam Ortman posted 13 points.

Avon’s Landon Thury finished with 30 points and 10 rebounds. Aziah Meyer had 13 points and seven rebounds. Trace Pelton posted 10 points and 10 rebounds. 


Alcester-Hudson 66, Burke 55

SCOTLAND — Three players scored in double-figures as Alcester-Hudson secured a win over Burke in boys basketball action Saturday.

Dominic Van Egdom’s double-double of 21 points and 18 rebounds led Alcester-Hudson. Jose Topete-Lopez scored 17 points and grabbed five rebounds and Ethan Bovill chipped in with 12 points, two rebounds and two steals. 

Reed Benter paced Burke with 26 points and five rebounds. Sam Steele scored 13 points and had two steals. 


Andes Central/Dakota Christian 68, Gayville-Volin 40

SCOTLAND — Andes Central/Dakota Christian picked up a boys basketball win over Gayville-Volin on Saturday.

ACDC’s Hunter Loeffler and Peter Backes scored 14 points apiece. Backes added four assists. Jamian Medicine Horn logged 10 points and four rebounds. Ryder Niewenhuis logged 10 points. A.J. Johnson had seven points and five rebounds. Garth Maas logged seven points.

GV’s Will Fairley scored 10 points. 


Colome 64, Scotland 56

SCOTLAND — Three players scored in double figures to pace Colome to a boys basketball win on Saturday.

Colome’s Joseph Laprath logged 23 points and five rebounds. Jack Anderson added 18 points and 12 rebounds. Seth Heath scored 10 points, grabbed six boards and added five steals. Jonah Musser had nine points and 12 rebounds. 

For Scotland, Parker Hochstein recorded 14 points and 16 rebounds. Kory Keppen had 11 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Treyton Bult posted nine points. 


Chester 57, Freeman 55

CHESTER — Chester clipped Freeman for a boys basketball win on Saturday.

Chester’s Jovi Wolf tossed in a game-high 27 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Layke Wold added 15 points. Jaxton Opdahl had nine points. JD Prorok had five assists. 

Freeman’s Rocky Ammann scored 22 points. Tate Sorensen logged 16 points. Luke Peters scored 10 points. 


Dakota Valley 85, Lakota Tech 47

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Three players scored in double figures to pace Class A No. 4 Dakota Valley to a boys basketball win on Saturday.

Dakota Valley’s Jaxson Wingert finished with 27 points and 10 rebounds. Luke Bruns added 18 points and 11 rebounds. Logan Collette added 13 points and five boards. Charlie Margeas logged six points and eight assists. Drew Lukken had five points and four rebounds. 

Lakota Tech stats were not reported. 


West Central 61, McCook Central/Montrose 46

HARTFORD — Crew Heier and Jake Kuhl powered West Central to a boys basketball win on Saturday.

Heier recorded 21 points, seven rebounds and three steals. Kuhl added 16 points and 10 rebounds. Carter Tetzlaff had seven points. 

MCM’s Mason Sabers scored 15 points and Lane Deutsch added 13 points. 


Girls Roundup

Spearfish 61, Harrisburg 52

HARRISBURG — Three players scored in double figures as Spearfish picked up a girls basketball win on Saturday.

Harrisburg’s Kate Scharf logged 18 points and Maria Bouman scored 11 points. Addi Reiners had 10 points.

Harrisburg’s Jaylee Hofer recorded 11 points and nine rebounds. Sadie Mehrman had 11 points. Abby Flanagan and Addy Wagner scored 10 points apiece.
