Andes Central/Dakota Christian 45, Kimball/White Lake 38 

KIMBALL — Andes Central/Dakota Christian pulled away from Kimball/White Lake for a girls basketball win on Thursday. 


Mount Vernon-Plankinton 58, Parkston 48

PARKSTON — Taryn Hegg and Reagan Rus combined for 43 points and 17 rebounds during Mount Vernon-Plankinton’s win over Class B No. 5 Parkston Thursday.

Hegg finished with a game-high 25 points and eight rebounds while Reagan Rus had 18 points and nine rebounds. Madalyn Lorang added seven points, three rebounds and two steals in the win.

Parkston’s Berkley Ziebart tallied 15 points and four steals, Keeara Oakley recorded 11 points and 12 rebounds, while Morgan Maxwell tallied seven points and two rebounds in the loss.


Lyman 38, Jones County 34

PRESHO — Class B No. 2 Lyman edged Jones County in a girls basketball contest on Thursday.

Lyman’s Jordyn Scott recorded 13 points, six assists and three rebounds. Mak Scott added 12 points and six rebounds. Brooke Palmer logged eight points, seven rebounds and four steals. 

Jones County stats were not reported. 


Northwestern 47, Herreid-Selby Area 41

MELLETTE — Adriana Ratigan scored her 1,000th career point as Northwestern defeated Herreid-Selby Area Thursday.

Ratigan tallied a double-double in the win with 13 points and 11 rebounds, Ashley Haven recorded 16 points and nine rebounds while Breelyn Satter had 15 points and five boards in the win.

HSA’s Katie Allbee totaled 15 points and three rebounds, Jordyn Rossow netted 13 points and eight boards while Stephanie Allbee had eight points and six rebounds in the loss.


Hamlin 79, Clark/Willow Lake 59

HAYTI — Four players scored in double figures to power Class A No. 5 Hamlin to a girls basketball win on Thursday. 

Hamlin’s Addie Neuendorf recorded 25 points and hit seven 3-pointers. Addie Steffensen added 23 points. Issie Steffensen had 14 points and Addie Jensen scored 10 points. Jo Steffensen had five points.

For CWL, Shelby Begeman scored a team-high 21 points. Brynn Roehrich recorded 10 points, while Johanna Vandersnick and Tehya Vig scored nine points apiece. 


Sturgis 50, Rapid City Central 41

STURGIS — Sturgis pulled away from Sturgis for a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Sturgis’ Addy Kossler finished with 17 points and Tori Williams had 11 points. Arina Haugen scored nine points and Avreigh Long recorded six points.

For Rapid City Central, Leah Landry recorded 18 points and Jo Pierce added nine points. Chloe Shreve scored five points.


Burke 62, Gregory 31

BURKE — Emmie Hausmann and Annie Connot powered Burke to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Hausmann recorded 23 points, four assists and three steals. Connot added 17 points. Paige Bull posted nine points. Kailee Frank finished with six rebounds and six assists. 

For Gregory, Dani VanDerWerff scored 14 points and Regan Graesser added nine points. 


Irene-Wakonda 37, Canistota 32

IRENE — Irene-Wakonda outlasted Canistota for a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Madison Orr finished with 13 points and eight rebounds. Emily Oien added 11 points and three steals. Julia Sees posted five rebounds.

For Canistota, Bailey Spicer had 14 points and Autumn Hutcheson had seven points. 


Sunshine Bible Academy 34, Colome 16

MILLER — Abby Hinman finished one steal shy of a triple-double during Sunshine Bible Academy’s win over Colome Thursday.

Hinman led SBA with 10 points, 14 rebounds and nine steals, Breanna Thieman tallied seven points, six rebounds and two steals, while Tessa Hinman and Ciera Mickelson each had six points, combining for 15 rebounds and eight steals in the win.

Colome’s Relynn Kingsley had 14 points, 12 rebounds and three steals in the loss.


North Central 33, Leola-Frederick Area 29

EUREKA — Ella Batie and Amree Vander Vorst powered North Central to a girls basketball victory Thursday.

Batie finished with 13 points. Vander Vorst had 10 points while Alaina Dosch added six points in the win.

LFA’s Arabella Clark had 12 points while Jillian Ellwein totaled eight points in the loss.


Viborg-Hurley 56, Howard 45

HURLEY — Three players powered Viborg-Hurley to a girls basketball victory over Howard Thursday.

Jenna Graves led the Cougars with 14 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals, Charley Nelson had 13 points, five boards, three assists and three steals, while Kendra Gilbert tallied 13 points, four rebounds, four steals and two assists in the win.

Howard’s Ann Connor and Tana Hoyer each tallied 16 points in the loss.


Harding County 71, Philip 39

BUFFALO — Kamry Padden powered Class B No. 3 Harding County took down Philip during Thursday’s high school girls basketball action.

Padden finished with 24 points, four rebounds and three steals, Raelee Hunsucker had 16 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals, Bailey Verhulst totaled 10 points, six assists, five steals and four assists, Kelsi Costello recorded eight points while Brayden Padden netted seven points in the win.

Philip’s stats were not reported.


Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 71, Timber Lake 63

EAGLE BUTTE — Dakotta Longbrake drilled eight 3-pointers in Cheyenne-Eagle Butte’s girls basketball win over Timber Lake on Thursday.

Faulkton Area 57, Sully Buttes 29 

FAULKTON — Three players scored in double figures to pace Faulkton Area to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Faulkton Area’s Presleigh Martinmaas had 24 points, while Anika Mueller recorded 16 points, seven steals, three rebounds and three assists. Carley Cotton had 10 points, five assists, four steals and four rebounds. 

For Sully Buttes, Payge Bakker recorded 19 points and eight rebounds. Scotlynn Kinney had six points and four rebounds. 


Deubrook Area 48, Elkton-Lake Benton 27

WHITE — Mataya Gouws dropped 22 points in Deubrook Area’s win over Elkton-Lake Benton Thursday.

Gouws finished with 22 points, Kylee Johnson recorded nine points while Carly Engelstad tallied eight points in the win.

ELB’s Sydney DeVries tallied 13 points while Charlie Thooft and Andrea Renkley each had five points in the loss.


Castlewood 62, Estelline/Hendricks 37

ESTELLINE — Three players scored in double figures to power Castlewood to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Castlewood’s Sophia Kudrna finished with 24 points and four rebounds. Claire Horn and Ava Ruml scored 12 points apiece. Ruml added seven rebounds and Horn had five boards. Cydni Kudrna posted seven points, four assists and three steals.

For EH, Ayla Texley recorded 16 points and Brooke Johnson had 11 points. Johnson added 10 rebounds. Presly Bury posted five points. 


Sanborn Central-Woonsocket 54, Iroquois-Lake Preston 24

LAKE PRESTON — Sanborn Central-Woonsocket defeated Iroquois-Lake Preston to clinch the 281 Conference Title Thursday.

Liz Boschee led the Blackhawks with 21 points and six steals, Kaylie Robinson added nine points, seven rebounds and four assists, Addi Bartholow had eight points, six rebounds and three steals while Alexa Goertz netted seven points and three assists in the win.

ILP’s Bentlee Holt led all scorers with 11 points in the loss.


Lakota Tech 82, Crow Creek 22

PINE RIDGE — Lakota Tech’s Shania Ferguson scored 32 points and scored her 1,000th career point in girls basketball action on Thursday. 

Ferugson added three 3-pointers. Isabella Shangreaux and Angeliyah Big Boy recorded 12 points apiece. Izzie Robinson scored seven points. Addy Cloud added five points. 

For Crow Creek, Mary Dee Dion had nine points and Lux Fallis finished with five points. 


Great Plains Lutheran 55, Waubay/Summit 18

SUMMIT — Myra Lentz netted 24 points in Great Plains Lutheran’s win over Waubay-Summit Thursday in girls basketball action.

Lentz finished with 24 points, Madeline Prahl had nine points while Esta Cameron added eight points in the win.

WS’s Liza Purdy had 10 points in the loss.


Sioux Valley 64, Garretson 18

VOLGA — Three players scored in double figures during Sioux Valley’s win over Garretson Thursday.

Keyra Kruse led with 15 points and five rebounds, Kailey Cradduck added 12 points, nine rebounds and three steals, Talya Vincent recorded 12 points and three assists, while Liberty Trygstad and Miley Keating each had six points in the win.

Garretson’s Taylor Benson rallied six points and four steals in the loss.


West Central 58, Flandreau 49

FLANDREAU — Three players scored double figures to pace West Central to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

West Central’s Kasey Jaton scored 14 points and Ayla Kramer added 12 points. Rayne Goehring posted 10 points.

For Flandreau, Sadie Iott recorded 24 points, four rebounds and four steals. Morgan Sheppard had 16 points, 11 rebounds and three assists.
