HERREID — Herreid/Selby Area outlasted Sunshine Bible Academy in double overtime for a Region 6B boys basketball on Monday.

HSA’s Wayde Grage finished with 19 points, nine rebounds, six assists and three steals. Trevor Gill added 14 points and seven rebounds. Xavier Ritter logged 11 points and Mason Vetter scored 10 points.

SBA’s Trey Thieman tossed in a game-high 27 points and hauled in 11 rebounds. Jerome Big Eagle had six points and six rebounds. Tarrence Mickelson added 11 points and five boards. Jensen Wipf had six points. 

Avon 78, Colome 57

AVON — Three players scored in double figures as Avon pulled away from Colome for a Region 5B boys basketball win on Monday.

Avon’s Landon Thury logged 27 points and 15 boards. Aziah Meyer added 17 points and five rebounds. Trace Pelton posted 10 points and eight boards. Noah Watchorn had eight points and four rebounds. Al Gunter and Paxton Bierema scored five points apiece.

Colome’s Joseph Laprath tossed in a game-high 31 points, to go along with five rebounds and five steals. Seth Heath added nine points, while Jack Anderson had eight points. Jordan Musser scored five points. 

Scotland 48, Irene-Wakonda 47 

IRENE — Scotland clipped Irene-Wakonda in Region 4B boys basketball action on Monday.

Scotland’s Parker Hochstein scored 26 points.

Irene-Wakonda’s Hayden Hansen scored 14 points, while Sam Hansen added 10 points. 

Arlington 61, Flandreau Indian 20

ARLINGTON — Arlington coasted past Flandreau Indian for a Region 2B boys basketball win on Monday.

Arlington’s Tommy Bacon had 12 points, six assists and three rebounds. Kaden Steffensen and Blake Madsen scored 11 points apiece. Madsen grabbed seven rebounds. Paxton Rheault logged 10 points and three rebounds. Riley Miller had nine points and five rebounds. Jake Burns added six rebounds. Miles Antonen had two points and six rebounds.

Flandreau Indian’s Genio White Hawk logged six points and four rebounds. Ryan Papakee posted 11 rebounds and three points. Anthony Decory had five points.
