GAYVILLE —- Freeman Academy/Marion’s Keaton Preheim sent a message to the rest of the CLass B 100-meter dash contenders at Tuesday’s Gayville-Volin meet.

Preheim won the 100-meter dash (:11.12), the fastest Class B time this season. Preheim teamed with Dominic Sperling, Domani Butler and Karter Weber to win the 800-meter relay (1:3.31). 

Class B state cross-country champion Finley McConniel, of Freeman Academy/Marion, is rounding into shape winning the 3,200-meter run (10:07.34). 

Centerville’s Miles Eide won the 110-meter hurdles (:16.54), 300-meter hurdles (:43.32) and the triple jump (38-11.5). 

Freeman freshman Lane McCune won the 1,600-meter run (4:46.54) and ran lead-off the all freshman 3,200-meter relay team to a win (8:46.70). Other Freeman winners were Luke Peters in the 200-meter dash (:24.18), Tate Sorensen in the 400-meter dash (:53.71), Peters in the long jump (20-02.25) and the 400-meter relay (:45.87). Freeman also won the sprint medley relay (3:59.47).

Other event winners for the boys were- Scotland/Menno’s Bryce Sattler in the 800-meter run (2:06.69), Scotland Menno’s Hunter Yosten in the shot put (46-05), Centerville’s Alec Austin in the discus (146-01), Yosten in the javelin (148-09), Gayville-Volin’s Hunter Wuebben in the high jump (5-04), Gayville-Volin’s Riley Keppen in the high jump (5-02).

In girls action, Centerville’s Emma Marshall won the 200-meter dash (:26.69), 400-meter dash (:59.40) and long jump (16-06.5). 

Scotland/Meno’s Trinity Bietz won the shot put (38-04), discus (129-00) and javelin (106-10).

Centerville’s Emery Shubeck won the 100-meter hurdles (:15.77) and the pole vault (8-09). 

Other winners for the girls were Gayville-Volin’s Taylor Hoxeng in the 100-meter dash (:13.08), Gayville Volin’s Jolie Westrum in the 800-meter run (2:31.66), Scotland Menno’s Ellyana Ulmer in the 1,600-meter run (5:37.42), Scotland Menno’s Zoe Schafffer in the 3,200-meter run (12:55.67), Freeman’s Rylee Peters in the 300-meter hurdles (:48.04) and Westrum in the triple jump (34-01). 

Centerville won the 400-meter relay (:54.35), 800-meter relay (1:54.02), 3200-meter relay (10:48.06) and sprint medley relay (4:35.84).
The Freeman girls won the 1,600-meter relay (4:24.74).
