MITCHELL — Gregory’s Kade Stukel and Andes Central/Dakota Christian’s Abigail Svatos captured individual medalist honors at Lakeview Golf Course during Tuesday’s Region 4B golf meet.

Stukel carded a 78 — shooting a 39 on both nines — to finish ahead of a host of golfers for the first-place finish. Platte-Geddes’ Dawson Hoffman (79), Ethan’s Kody Klumb (80) and Gregory’s Eli Fogel (81) finished just behind Stukel. Burke’s Bryce Frank (82) and Kaden Klumb (82) tied for fifth place.

Svatos shot an 89 — 45 on the front nine and a 44 on the back nine — to earn the first-place finish. Burke’s Adisyn Indahl finished in second place with a 94. Platte-Geddes’ Ashton Summerville (98) and Bon Homme’s Jaden Kortan (98) tied for third place. Scotland/Menno’s Rylee Conrad (99) rounded out the top-five golfers. 

The Ethan boys shot a 248 to earn a first-place finish in the team standings. Gregory (250) and Hanson (258) finished second and third, respectively. Ethan and Gregory qualified all their golfers for the state meet. 

The Burke girls carded a 308 to finish first in the team standings. Mount Vernon/Plankinton (319) and Platte-Geddes (324) placed second and third, respectively. Burke and Mount Vernon/Plankinton qualified all their golfers for the state meet. 

The Class B state golf tournaments are June 6-7 in Rapid City. The boys tournament is at the Elks Golf Course, while the girls tournament is at Hart Ranch Golf Course.
