Hanson boys, Scotland/Menno girls capture team titles at Erv Ptak Relays

MENNO — The Scotland/Menno girls and Hanson boys captured team titles at Thursday’s Erv Ptak Relays. 

The Scotland/Menno girls recorded 175 points, ahead of Hanson (131) and Canistota (109). The Hanson boys compiled 169 points, ahead of Scotland/Menno (137) and Canistota (100). 

In boys action, Hanson’s Keaton Weber was also a quadruple winner, claiming first-place finishes in the high jump (5-8), pole vault (11-0), long jump (20-8) and triple jump (38-9.5). 

Hanson’s Sutton Dewald was a triple winner in the 100-meter dash (:11.41), 200-meter dash (:22.70) and 400-meter dash (:51.47). Dewald, Carson Ferry, Jett Jager and Anthony Geist won the 1,600-meter relay (3:38.38). 

Jager, Tye Hernandez, Ferry and Cole Dewald captured the 3,200-meter relay (8:36.32). 

Bridgewater-Emery’s Holden Wollmann won the 800-meter run in 2:00.29. Parker Burke, Calvary Bickett, Carter Glanzer and Wollmann won the 400-meter relay (:47.08). 

Scotland/Menno’s Izayah Ulmer won the 1,600-meter run (5:03.65). Scotland/Menno’s Adam Munkvold won the 110-meter hurdles (:21.04) and placed second in the 300-meter hurdles (:50.48).

Scotland/Menno’s Brooke Schoenfish won the shot put (44-11.75) and placed second in the discus (139-11). Scotland/Menno’s Hunter Yosten won the javelin throw (142-7). 

Mitchell Christian’s Silas Holdeman won the 3,200-meter run (10:22.52). Holdeman was the anchor leg on the winning sprint medley relay (3:43.47), joined by Jason Baas, Auston Twiggs and Luke Mentele. 

Canistota’s Caleb Schroeder won the 300-meter hurdles (:46.19). Schroeder, Brady Scott, Samuele Lotito and Kaleb Hjermstad won the 800-meter relay (1:36.63). 

Canistota’s Jaden Kleinsasser won the discus (148-2) and placed second in the shot put (44-8.5). 

In girls action, Scotland/Menno’s Trinity Bietz was a triple winner in the shot put (40-5), discus (128-3) and javelin (105-6). 

Scotland/Menno’s Ellyana Ulmer won the 1,600-meter run in 5:35.56, finishing ahead of teammates Zoe Schaeffer (5:41.62) and Elle Hlavac (5:41.75). Macee Haase won the pole vault at 7-0. 

Hanson’s Lillian Bahmuller, Lacey Easton, Taryn Holm and Jazzlyn Campbell won the 400-meter relay (:54.26). 

Holm, Easton, Brooklynn Schroeder and Campbell won the 800-meter relay (1:54.53). Jessa Degen, Schroeder, Elliot Abbey and Easton won the 1,600-meter relay (4:35.00). Easton, Abbey, Schroeder and Jersey Kampshoff won the 3,200-meter relay (12:16.00). 

Bahmuller won the high jump (4-6) and finished second in the long jump (13-11.5). 

Campbell was a double winner in the long jump (14-11.25) and triple jump (34-2.5). 

Canistota’s Ellie Becker won the 100-meter dash (:13.22) and placed third in the 200-meter dash (:27.66). Canistota’s Ella Hjermstad won the 200-meter dash (:27.08). Canistota’s Katelyn Bond won the 100-meter hurdles (:18.86). 

Freeman Academy’s Estelle Waltner won the 400-meter dash in 1:07.74. Mitchell Christian’s Elinor Deline claimed the 800-meter run (2:32.02). Mitchell Christian’s Hannah DeLine won the 3,200-meter run (13:52.14). 

Canistota’s Ellie Becker, Hjermstad, Adrian DeHaan and Gabbie Eichmann won the sprint medley relay (4:47.53).
