Wagner 62, Parkston 58  

PARKSTON — Class A No. 3 Wagner outlasted Parkston in girls basketball action on Thursday.

Wagner’s Macy Koupal finished with 25 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Ashlyn Koupal added 20 points, 14 rebounds, four blocked shots and three assists. Lydia Yost logged eight points and three assists. Braxton Nedved had five points and five assists.

For Parkston, Lauren Ziebart finished with 21 points and four steals. Mya Thuringer had 13 points and five boards. Berkley Ziebart logged nine points and five rebounds. Keeara Oakley had eight points and five boards. 


Canistota 52, Howard 40 

CANISTOTA — Canistota pulled away from Howard for a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Canistota’s Kayla Papendick finished with 23 points, four rebounds and four 3-pointers. Ellie Becker logged nine points and eight boards. Natalie Becker posted eight points, five rebounds and four steals. Bailey Spicer scored five points.

For Howard, Abby Aslesen posted 12 points and 12 rebounds. Dakota Spader and Ann Connor scored 11 points apiece. Spader hit three 3-pointers and Connor grabbed five rebounds. Elizabeth Albrecht posted six points and four rebounds. 


Lyman 75, Stanley County 49 

FORT PIERRE — Four players scored in double figures as Class B No. 3 Lyman coasted past Stanley County for a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Lyman’s Mak Scott finished with 20 points and seven assists. Jordyn Scott added 16 points and four rebounds. Skyler Volmer totaled 15 points, eight assists and six rebounds. Brooke Palmer had 10 points and six boards. McKenzie Laverdure and Morgan Hoffman scored five points apiece. 


Harding County 69, Sundance, Wyo., 24

BUFFALO — Three players scored in double figures to pace Harding County to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Harding County’s Bailey Verhulst finished with 15 points and three steals. Claire Verhulst added 13 points, while Brayden Padden had 12 points and seven rebounds. Kamry Padden posted seven points and three steals. Jaelyn Wendt added six points and 11 rebounds. Raelee Hunsucker finished with five points, six assists and three steals. 


Great Plains Lutheran 43, Castlewood 42

WATERTOWN — Great Plains Lutheran edged Castlewood in girls basketball action on Thursday.

GPL’s Esta Cameron finished with 10 points. Halle Bauer and Olivia Holmen scored nine points apiece. Katherine Prahl had eight points.

For Castlewood, Presley Knecht finished with 13 points. Kylie Wittnebel had 10 points and Cassidy Kirwan scored seven points. 


Northwestern 67, Ipswich 37

MELLETTE — Three players scored in double figures to pace Northwestern to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Northwestern’s Ashley Haven finished with 24 points and nine rebounds. Ana Ratigan had 16 points, while Sophia Troske logged 10 points. Josie Sparling had five points and seven rebounds. Ella Boekelheide added four points and nine rebounds.

For Ipswich, Gabby Wald logged 18 points. Brianna Geditz scored eight points and Marley Guthmiller logged seven points and six rebounds. 


Milbank 52, Redfield 17 

MILBANK — Tyra Berry and Isabella Anderson scored 14 points apiece to power Milbank to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Claire Snaza added eight points, while Belle Pauli scored six points. Siera Wenzl and Josie Riverland logged five points apiece. 

Redfield’s Katie Rozell scored 10 points.
