Rapid City Christian 59, Sturgis 33

STURGIS — Class A No. 4 Rapid City Christian improved to 9-0 with a boys basketball win over Sturgis on Friday.

Rapid City Christian’s Benson Kieffer led a balanced-scoring attack with 16 points. Aiden Roberts added 10 points and Simon Kieffer finished nine points. Julius Frog recorded seven points and Wes Schlabach had six points. Lars Kieffer and Sully Kieffer scored five points apiece.

For Sturgis, Ryan Heinert scored eight points and Jaxon Cano recorded seven points. 


Elkton-Lake Benton 60, Florence-Henry 57

ELKTON — Elkton-Lake Benton clipped Florence-Henry in high school boys basketball action Friday.

ELB's Tanner Drietz finished with 21 points and four 3-pointers. Eliot Erickson had 12 points. Tanner Stein recorded seven points, while Riley Nordmeyer added six points. Colt Beck and Joseph Nibbe scored five points apiece. 

FH’s Carson Vavruska had a team-high 19 points, Ty Bergh totaled 17 points, Carson Kelly had eight points, while Tristyn Sumner totaled six points in the loss.


De Smet 60, Arlington 45

ARLINGTON — Grant Wilkinson's double-double powered De Smet to a high school boys basketball victory Friday.

Wilkinson totaled 22 points, 20 rebounds and three assists, Noah Luethmers had 12 points, four rebounds and two assists, Slayton Wilkinson had seven points, five rebounds and two assists, while Ganon Henrich and Carter Wilkinson each had six points in the win.

Arlington’s Paxton Rheault totaled a game-high 25 points and eight rebounds in the loss. Brecken Vossler tallied eight points and five rebounds, while Miles Antonen and Sergio Maldonado each had six points in the loss.


Groton Area 49, Clark/Willow Lake 48

CLARK — Groton Area outlasted Clark/Willow Lake for a boys basketball win on Friday.

Groton Area’s Ryder Johnson finished with 19 points, while Gage Sippel added 11 points and five rebounds. Karson Zak logged 10 points. Keegen Tracy posted five points and three rebounds.

For CWL, Sully Felberg tallied 17 points and six rebounds. Bo Begeman recorded 11 points and four rebounds. Emmerson Larson recorded 10 points and four rebounds. Chris Bevers posted seven points and seven rebounds. Griffin Musser grabbed six rebounds.


Alcester-Hudson 50, Canistota 49

CANISTOTA — Ethan Bovill’s 17-point outing helped Alcester-Hudson defeat Canistota during Friday’s high school boys basketball action.

Bovill finished with 17 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals, Evan Haak added 11 points and five rebounds, Brody Andrews collected six points, while Evan Brown tallied five points and eight assists in the win.

Canistota’s Brady Scott tallied 12 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and seven steals, while Easton Miller, Jaden Kleinsasser and Jake Merrill each had 11 points in the loss.


Deubrook Area 81, James Valley Christian 78 (OT)

WHITE — Isaac Gass poured in 33 points as Deubrook Area outlasted James Valley Christian in an overtime boys basketball game on Friday.

Gass nailed four 3-pointers. Josh Moberg added 23 points and hit five 3-pointers. Chance Schoenfeld scored nine points, while Braxton Bednarek had eight points. Connor Andrews scored five points.

For JVC, Jarred Wallman pumped in 24 points. Tayne Herrmann recorded 18 points. Jayven Van Scharrel scored 16 points. Gavin Waldner netted seven points. Kolby VanDerWerff and Cole Anderson finished with five points apiece. 


Britton-Hecla 51, Great Plains Lutheran 49

BRITTON — Three players scored in double figures during Britton-Hecla’s narrow victory over Great Plains Lutheran Friday.

Will Richter and Jaxon Zuehlke each had 11 points, while Chaz Vietor added 10 points, while Graham Fosness had nine points in the win.

GPL’s Austin Rubendall had 12 points in the loss, Micah Holien totaled 11 points, while Brody Scharlemann added six points for the Panthers.


Beresford 65, McCook Central/Montrose 58

BERESFORD — Three players scored in double figures during Beresford’s high school boys basketball victory Friday.

Tiegen Nyhaug  and Malachi James each had 12 points, while Cooper Nelson added 10 points in the win.

MCM’s Mason Sabers tallied 19 points in the loss.


Irene-Wakonda 57, Gayville-Volin 37

GAYVILLE — Two players scored in double figures during Irene-Wakonda’s high school boys basketball victory over Gayville-Volin.

Jens Hansen and Brody Johnke each scored 16 points in the victory for the Eagles.

Preston Karstens had 15 points in the win, Spencer Karstens totaled 12 points, seven rebounds and five assists, while Nate Selchert recorded eight rebounds in the loss.


Wessington Springs 66, Ethan 61

WESSINGTON SPRINGS — Colby Flowers powered Wessington Springs to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Flowers finished with 25 points and 13 rebounds. Karter Mebius added 11 points. 

Ethan stats were not available. 


Flandreau 56, Tri-Valley 26

FLANDREAU — Flandreau coasted past Tri-Valley for a boys basketball win on Friday.

Alfie Henderson finished with 11 points and Xavier Bien scored nine points. 

For Tri-Valley, Alex Wingen scored six points and Brady Jewett added five points. 


Rapid City Central 57, Sioux Falls Jefferson 46

RAPID CITY — Rapid City Central pulled away from Sioux Falls Jefferson for a boys basketball win on Friday.

Central’s Gilbert White netted 22 points and three 3-pointers. Junor Allen added 18 points and four rebounds. Julius Duran added seven points and nine rebounds. Braedon Isler logged six points.

For Jefferson, Colby Nuttbrock recorded 17 points. Kuai Mayen finished with 12 points. Kuek Kuek had six points and five rebounds. 


Sioux Falls Lincoln 67, Aberdeen Central 48

ABERDEEN — Sam DeGroot and Sam Ericsson powered Class AA No. 2 Sioux Falls Lincoln to a boys basketball win on Friday.

DeGroot finished with 21 points, seven rebounds and three 3-pointers. Ericsson added 12 points and three steals. Brody Schafer had nine points on three 3-pointers and dished out six assists. Luke Krempges had eight points and seven rebounds. Justin Bilal added six points.

For Aberdeen Central, Brendan Phillips finished with 15 points, five rebounds and three steals. Luke Swanson posted 14 points. Jacob Weishaar and Christian Palmer scored six points apiece. Jack Bertsch had five points.
