Sioux Falls Jefferson 79, Rapid City Stevens 78 (3 OT)

RAPID CITY — Sioux Falls Jefferson outlasted Rapid City Stevens in a triple overtime boys basketball game on Saturday.

Jefferson’s Damaris Fields tossed in a team-high 21 points. Kuek Kuek added 20 points. Kuai Mayen scored 13 points and Colby Nuttbrock had 10 points. Mason Payne scored eight points.

For Stevens, Minkah Hawley netted a game-high 24 points. Dayler Segrist scored 19 points and hit five 3-pointers. Dylan Szymonski tallied 15 points and Kaelem Brooks scored nine points. Dalton Szymonski added seven points 


Parkston 57, Miller 50

PARKSTON — Brycen Bruening’s 25-point outing lifted Parkston past Miller during Saturday’s high school boys basketball action.

Bruening tallied 25 points and five steals, James Deckert tallied nine points and seven rebounds, Mason Jervik added eight points and six assists, while Reco Muilenburg collected eight points and seven rebounds in the win.

Miller’s Derek Brueggeman had 14 points in the loss, Will Resel tallied 13 points and seven boards, Issak Hunter collected 11 points, while Oliver Fritzsche tallied 10 points and seven rebounds in the loss.


Corsica-Stickney 53, Scotland-Menno 41

CORSICA — Tyson Wentland’s 15-point burst lifted Corsica-Stickney over Scotland-Menno in high school boys basketball action Saturday.

Wentland finished with 15 points and eight rebounds and five steals, Jett Kemp had eight points, Aiden Clites tallied seven points, while Brock Hinker and Jarrett Olawsky each had six points in the loss.

SM’s Izayah Ulmer totaled 13 points and four rebounds, Ashton Dennis had seven points and four boards, while Erick Buechler added six points in the loss.


Flandreau 58, Lakota Tech 47

VOLGA — Luke Sheppard and Paul Parsley combined for 37 points during Flandreau’s victory over Lakota Tech in high school boys basketball action Saturday.

Sheppard finished with 21 points, seven rebounds and two assists, Parsley had 16 points, five rebounds and three assists, while Micah Otto and Kody Kneebone each had eight points in the win.

LT’s Julian Tonche tallied 20 points, Treyton Sam had 13 points and six rebounds, while Bruce Whalen tallied four points in the loss.


Castlewood 65, Deuel 37

CASTLEWOOD — Three players scored in double figures to pace Class B No. 1 Castlewood to a boys basketball win on Saturday.

Castlewood’s Jamison Keszler recorded a team-high 19 points. Bryon Laue finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Kamden Keszler had 10 points. Luke Baumberger and Brody Bass scored eight points apiece.

For Deuel, Gabe Sather scored 13 points. Caden Finnesand added 12 points. Troy Jenson had six points and Jayden Peterreins scored five points. 


Leola-Frederick Area 56, Waverly-South Shore 43

WAVERLY — Noah Kippley scored 21 points and recorded his 1,000th career point as Class B No. 4 Leola-Frederick Area picked up a boys basketball win on Saturday. 

Kippley recorded four 3-pointers. Milo Sumption added 13 points, while Ethan Petrich added eight points. Gavin Nickelson and Zander Hoffman scored six points apiece.

For WSS, Sam Appelhof had 15 points and Zach Ries recorded 10 points. Colton Kranz scored six points and Brady Eschen had five points. 


Dell Rapids 37, Elk Point/Jefferson 33

DELL RAPIDS — Dell Rapids edged Elk Point/Jefferson during high school boys basketball action Saturday.

Jack Kloth powered the Quarriers to victory with 14 points, six rebounds, five blocks and three steals.

EPJ’s Landon Johnson had 11 points in the loss.


Clark/Willow Lake 72, Webster Area 34

WILLOW LAKE — Emmerson Larson, Chris Bevers and Bo Begeman powered Clark/Willow Lake to a high school boys basketball victory Saturday.

Larson finished with 18 points, six rebounds and three steals, Bevers and Begeman each had 15 points, while Sully Felberg and Will Hovde totaled six points in the win.

Webster Area’s Ian Lesnar tallied 15 points, five rebounds and two steals, McKoy Pereboom had seven points, while Seth Lesnar tallied six points in the loss.


Waubay-Summit 61, Wilmot 28

SUMMIT — Three players scored in double figures as Waubay-Summit took down Wilmot during Saturday’s high school boys basketball action.

Camden Neilan led the way with 16 points, Dylan Rumpza had 15 points, Traveion Neilan totaled 13 points, while Tigh Gaikowski tallied seven points in the win.

Wilmot’s Keitrick Genis tallied seven points while Ethan Schwenn had six points in the loss.


Hillsboro Central Valley (N.D.) 60, Milbank 51

HILLSBORO — Milbank fell to Hillsboro Central Valley during Saturday’s high school boys basketball action.

Milbank’s Bryan Meyer tallied 16 points and three rebounds, Sam Rick had 14 points, Emmett Hanson tallied nine points and 11 rebounds, while Lincoln Holscher totaled nine points and six rebounds in the loss.


Sioux Falls Roosevelt 65, Rapid City Central 52

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures during Sioux Falls Roosevelt’s victory over Rapid City Central Saturday.

Memphis Bylander led with 15 points, Jamre Tiger tallied 11 points, Isaiah Garang had 10 points and seven rebounds, Akeem Moko had eight points, while CJ Schmaus and Deng Kuek each had six points in the win.

RCC’s Gilbert White Jr. had a game-high 22 points, five rebounds and two steals, Julius Duran tallied 13 points, five rebounds and three steals, while Junior Allen had nine points in the loss.


Western Christian (Iowa) 61, Tea Area 43

SIOUX FALLS — Tea Area lost to Western Christian, Iowa, in boys basketball at the Border Battle at the Sanford Pentagon on Saturday.

Tea Area’s Grifin Wiebenga finished with 17 points and eight rebounds. Mitch Grant logged seven points and seven rebounds. Rylan Norris had scored six points, while Marshall Smythe added five points, six rebounds and four assists.
