Estelline/Hendricks 77, Arlington 47

ARLINGTON — Four players scored in double-figures as Estelline/Hendricks defeated Arlington in boys basketball action Thursday.

Mattix Hausman powered Estelline/Hendricks with 20 points, 13 rebounds, six assists and four steals. Kyler Carlson added 14 points and four rebounds and Matthew McAninch contributed ten points and eight assists. Caden Ching chipped in with 10 points and five rebounds. 

Miles Antonen led Arlington with 18 points and eight rebounds. Tommy Bacon added nine points and four rebounds for Arlington


Gregory 72, Avon 49 

GREGORY — Gregory pulled past Avon for a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Gregory’s Noah Bearshield finished with 20 points. Cruz Klundt added 17 points and Daniel Mitchell scored 14 points. Lincoln Juracek scored six points and Jack Bolander added five points.

For Avon, Azaiah Meyer had 21 points and Landon Thury added 20 points. Trace Pelton posted five points. 


Viborg-Hurley 68, Centerville 39 

CENTERVILLE — Three players scored in double figures to lead Class B No. 1 Viborg-Hurley to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Nick Hanson had 20 points and nine rebounds. Brady Schroedermeier had 18 points and Rafe Goettertz had 12 points.

For Centerville, Aiden Bobzin logged 12 points and Cole Edberg added nine points and five rebounds. Ethan Bobzin had eight points and Jase Brouwer logged six points. 


White River 83, St. Francis 41

ST. FRANCIS — Four players scored in double figures to pace Class B No. 3 White River to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

White River’s Nic Marshall finished with 29 points and six rebounds, while Jordan Uhlir had 25 points and seven assists. Ray Crow and Evastine Wright scored 10 points apiece. Teagen Bouman had five points and seven boards. Wright had five rebounds. 

For St. Francis, Darin Arcoren had 14 points and Cante Kills In Water scored seven points. John Gunhammer, Luke Marshall and Wanakiski Stands scored six points apiece. 


Dell Rapids 65, Vermillion 61 (OT) 

VERMILLION — Dell Rapids edged Vermillion for an overtime boys basketball win on Thursday.

Dell Rapids’ Jack Henry scored 19 points. 

Vermillion's Carter Hansen finished with 21 points, while Trey Hansen had 20 points. 


Hitchcock-Tulare 54, Sully Buttes 46

TULARE — Patrick and Jackson Maynard both logged double-doubles to pace Hitchcock-Tulare to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Patrick Maynard recorded 17 points and 14 rebounds. Jackson Maynard added 15 points and 11 rebounds. Erik Salmen and Brendon Nowell scored 10 points apiece. 

Sully Buttes’ Wesley Wittler finished with 22 points. Logan Severson had nine points and Trevor Marshall scored seven points. Gavin Colson had six points. 

 

Milbank 60, Deuel 48 

CLEAR LAKE — Milbank held off Deuel for a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Milbank’s Joe Schulte logged 20 points and eight rebounds. Yohana Ajwanga scored 15 points and grabbed four rebounds. Garrett Mertens finished with eight points, while Jaxson Wildung logged seven points and 10 rebounds. Graham Lightfield scored five points.

For Deuel, Trey Maaland finished with 16 points and four rebounds. Troy Jenson and Gabe Sather scored 11 points apiece. 

 

Lower Brule 78, Takini 32

MITCHELL — Four players scored in double-figures as Lower Brule defeated Takini in action from the Dakota Oyate Challenge in Mitchell on Thursday.

Lane Gray led the Sioux with 20 points. Quentin McBride Jr. scored 18 points for Lower Brule and Payton Palmier added 16 points. Sophomore Brent Hood chipped in with 11 points. 

Logan Quilt led Takini with nine points while Ted Eagle had seven points. 


Marty 83, Tiospaye Topa 27

MITCHELL — A balanced scoring attack helped Marty earn a win over Tiospaye Topa in boys basketball action Thursday at the Dakota Oyate Challenge. 

Terrill Rave led Marty with 14 points while Tate Elk Soldier finished with 13 points. Greg Zephier chipped in with eight points. Twelve players scored for Marty on day one of the Dakota Oyate Challenge.  

Kaden Rousseau led Tiospaye Topa with 10 points while freshman Laken Traversie chipped in with nine points.


Faulkton Area 63, Leola-Frederick Area 55

LEOLA — Faulkton Area held off Leola-Frederick Area for a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Faulkton Area’s Layne Cotton finished with a game-high 29 points, while Gian DiMaria had 13 points. Spencer Melius logged 12 points. Trey Machtomes logged five points.

For Leola-Frederick Area, Brayden Sumption scored 10 points and Milo Sumption had eight points. Winston Clark scored seven points. Gavin Nickelson, Ethan Petrich and Noah Kippley scored six points apiece. Taylor Himanga and Titus Kippley scored five points apiece. 


Ipswich 77, Herreid/Selby Area 43

IPSWICH — Three players scored in double-figures as Ipswich rolled to a win over Herreid/Selby Area in boys basketball action Thursday. 

Trevor Heinz led Ipswich with 24 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals. Chet Peterson added 21 points and nine rebounds. Jace Konsor chipped in with 12 points, three rebounds and three assists. 

Wayde Grage led Herreid/Selby Area with 13 points, three rebounds and two assists. Mason Vetter contributed 12 points. 


Elkton-Lake Benton 65, Oldham-Ramona-Rutland 43

ELKTON — Elkton-Lake Benton picked up a boys basketball on Thursday.

ELB’s Tanner Drietz finished with 16 points, six rebounds and four assists. Colt Beck had 13 points and four assists. Carson Griffith finished with seven points and eight rebounds. Jackson Smallfield and Riley Nordmeyer had six points apiece. Tanner Stein scored five points.

ORR’s Cooper Merager had 11 points. Brodie Albertson and Caden Hojer scored eight points apiece. 


Aberdeen Central 58, Tea Area 43

ABERDEEN — Aberdeen Central pulled away from Tea Area for a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Aberdeen Central’s Brendan Phillips finished with 19 points and seven rebounds. Parker Lemer added 13 points, while Jett Carlson had eight points. Grant Fritz logged seven points and seven rebounds. 


Canton 66, Sioux Falls Lutheran 25

SIOUX FALLS — Canton picked up a boys basketball win over Sioux Falls Lutheran on Thursday.

Canton’s Matt Anderson recorded 16 points and nine rebounds. Julius Moore had 10 points and Braxton Mulder scored seven points. Cain Wallner and Pierce Mastalir scored six points apiece. 

Grant Prouty had 13 points, while Sam Borg added eight points and six rebounds.
