Mount Vernon/Plankinton/Corsica-Stickney Padres 9, Alexandria 4

ALEXANDRIA — The Mount Vernon/Plankinton/Corsica-Stickney Padres pulled away from Alexandria for a Legion baseball win on Tuesday.

Lucas Krogstad was on the mound for the Padres, giving up five hits and four runs, while striking out nine and walking one in 3 ⅔ innings.

Griffin Tobin led the Padres with two RBI, while Brendan Wentland, Hayden Plamp, and Mason Hetland each added one RBI.

Hunter Robinson took the loss for Alexandria, allowing nine runs on five hits and striking out six in six innings.

Riley Haynes tallied three hits to lead Alexandria, while Robinson added two hits. Keenan Waldera drove in two runs.

Gregory County 9, Faulkton/Highmore Hitmen 8

FAULKTON — Gregory County held off the Faulkton/Highmore Hitmen for a Legion baseball win on Tuesday.

Brogan Glover was on the mound for Gregory County, allowing three runs on one hit in one inning, while striking out one.

Rylan Peck had three hits in four at bats to lead Gregory County, which tallied 13 hits as a team. Bryce Frank, Ben Witt, and Trey Murray each added two hits. Glover led with three RBI, while Carson Klundt added two RBI.

Gunner Brueggeman took the loss for Faulkton/Highmore, allowing two hits and one run in three innings, while striking out two and walking one.

Layne Cotton led Faulkton/Highmore with three hits in four at bats, while Cade Schick added two hits and two RBI. Parker Geditz and Bennett Cassens also had two RBI apiece.


Aberdeen Smittys 5, Huron Post 7 4

ABERDEEN — The Aberdeen Smittys edged Huron Post 7 for a Legion baseball win on Tuesday.

Casey Vining picked up the win for the Aberdeen Smittys, allowing zero runs on zero hits and striking out one in three innings. Brock Martin started the game for the Aberdeen Smittys, giving up four runs on six hits, while striking out six in four innings.

Ethan Kjenstad led the Aberdeen Smittys with two hits in three at bats and three RBI.

Dawson Rogers took the loss for Huron Post 7, allowing one hit and two runs, while striking out two in one inning.

Tyson Lien and Johnny Hernandez each had one hit and one RBI to lead Huron Post 7.

Aberdeen Smittys also won game 2 by a score of 4-2.


Post 1 12, Post 911 Chargers 6

VERMILLION — Post 1 doubled up the Post 911 Chargers for a Legion baseball win on Tuesday.

Tim Dixon earned the win for Post 1, allowing three runs on seven hits in four innings, while striking out seven and walking one.

Charlie Ward led Post 1 with three hits in four at bats, while Ben Burbach and T.J. Tracy each had two hits. Burbach added three RBI, while Tracy, Jack Kratz, and Carter Mart each had two RBI.

Jake Isakson took the loss for the Post 911 Chargers, allowing eight runs on eight hits in three innings, while striking out one.

Aiden Strandberg led the Post 911 Chargers with four hits in five at bats, while Isakson and Jack Tinklenberg each had two hits. Isakson also had three RBI and Will Harmelink added two RBI.


Dakota Valley Post 319 8, Dell Rapids Post 65 4

DELL RAPIDS — Dakota Valley Post 319 picked up a Legion baseball win over Dell Rapids Post 65 on Tuesday.

Beau Pollema led Dakota Valley on the hill, allowing three hits and one run in four innings, whale striking out four and walking one

Brendan Barnett led Dakota Valley with two hits, while Jackson Boonstra had three RBI.

Jack Henry took the loss for Dell Rapids, giving up two hits and five runs in four innings, while striking out four.

Joe Rechtenbaugh and Austin Harvey led Dell Rapids in two hits, while Harvey added two RBI.


Volga 7, Hartford 118/Humboldt 62 6

HUMBOLDT — Volga held off Hartford 118/Humboldt 62 for a Legion baseball win on Tuesday.

Connor Gross took the win for Volga, pitching six innings and allowing four hits and six runs, while striking out two.

Gross, Kyler Bezdichek, Parker Puetz, Layson Lucas, Jake Ziegler, Damian Danzeisen, and Carson Christopherson each had one hit for Volga. Lucas drove in three runs, while Ziegler drove in two runs. Gross and Christopherson each added one RBI.

Adam Parsons took the loss for Hartford 118/Humboldt 62, giving up five hits and seven runs, while striking out two in two innings.

Connor Siemonsma had one RBI to lead Hartford 118/Humboldt 62.


Belle Fourche Post 32 12, Spearfish Post 164 2

BELLE FOURCHE — Belle Fourche Post 32 flew past Spearfish Post 164 for a Legion baseball win on Tuesday.

Dalton Davis picked up the win for Belle Fourche Post 32, allowing five hits and two runs in six innings, while striking out six.

Sean Wahlfeldt had three hits to lead Belle Fourche Post 32, which totaled 12 hits as a team. Aiden Voyles and Ryker Audiss each tallied two hits. J.T. Hahne had two RBI. 

Connor Comer was on the mound for Spearfish Post 164, giving up eight runs on seven hits, while striking out two and walking one.

Ty Sieber led Spearfish Post 164 with two hits and one RBI.
