Winner/Colome Post 169 8, Gregory County 2

WINNER — Winner/Colome Post 169 picked up a Region 7B win over Gregory County in Tuesday’s opening round. 

Winner/Colome will play the Platte-Geddes WhiteCaps on Wednesday.

Platte-Geddes WhiteCaps 8, Belle Fourche Post 32 0

WINNER — Aiden Bultjes threw a three-hit shutout as Platte-Geddes picked up an American Legion region win over Belle Fourche Post 32 on Tuesday.

Bultjes struck out six batters and issued one walk on 93 pitches. Bultje had a hit at the plate. 

Offensively, Dakota Munger led Platte-Geddes with two hits and three RBI. Jaxon Christensen added two hits and an RBI. Joey Foxley drove in two runs.

For Belle Fourche, Gabe Heck, Caden Thomsen and Sean Wahlfeldt each had hits. Dalton Davis took the loss after allowing eight hits, five earned runs, two walks and struck out three batters through seven innings. 


Gregory County 13, Stanley County 3 (6 innings) 

WINNER — Gregory County plated eight runs in the first inning en route to an American Legion region baseball win over Stanley County on Tuesday.

Sawyer Tietgen, Rylan Peck, Gannon Thomas and Kade Braun had two hits apiece. Tietgen and Cash Hemming drove in two runs apiece. Tietgen earned the win after allowing two hits, one earned run, two walks and struck out one batter in his 1.1-inning start. 

For Stanley County, Paxton Deal, Josh Switzer, Dayson Titze and Colton Brady each had hits. Brady took the loss after allowing five hits, eight earned runs, two walks and struck out two batters through one inning. 


Clark/Willow Lake 5, Faulkton-Highmore 2

NORTHVILLE — Clark/Willow Lake clipped Faulkton-Highmore in American Legion region baseball action on Tuesday. 

Lucas Kannegieter and Collin Gaikowski had two hits apiece, while Kannegieter drove in two runs. Gaikowski knocked in a run. Cooper Pommer picked up the win after two strikeouts, two hits allowed, three walks and zero runs allowed in 2.2 relief innings. 

For Faulkton-Highmore, Blaze Herdman, Cade Schick, Gunner Brueggeman, Alex Sorensen and Dawson Hale each had hits. Herdman took the loss after allowing eight hits, five earned runs, two walks and struck out six batters in six innings. 


Tabor Post 183 8, Alexandria Post 41 1 

TABOR — Landon Smith struck out five batters as Tabor Post 183 pulled away from Alexandria Post 41 for an American Legion region baseball win on Tuesday. 

Smith allowed three hits, one earned run and zero walks on 74 pitches. He added two hits and two RBI at the plate. Logan Winckler had two hits for Tabor. 

For Alexandria, Jayce Slaba, Ben Wilber and Hadley Wallace each had hits. Hayden Schroeder took the loss after allowing five hits, five earned runs, one walk and struck out two batters in his four-inning start. 


Parkston Post 194 12, Wagner Post 11 1

TABOR — Parkston Post 194 scored 10 runs in the final three innings en route to an American Legion region baseball win on Tuesday. 

James Deckert led Parkston with two hits and three RBI. Caden Donahue and Carter Sommer drove in two runs apiece. Maddux Brissette belted a solo home run. Deckert earned the win after allowing four hits, one earned run, six walks and struck out four batters in his six-inning start.

For Wagner Post 11, Carter Cournoyer, Joey Cournoyer, Theodore Slaba and Frank Soukup each had hits. Carter Cournoyer took the loss after allowing four hits, four earned runs, four walks and had five strikeouts in his 4.1-inning start. 


Parkston Post 194 4, Mount Vernon/Plankinton/Corsica-Stickney 2

TABOR — Parkston Post 194 used a two-run sixth inning to secure an American Legion region baseball win on Tuesday. 

Maddux Brissette finished with two hits, while Kaleb Weber, Brayden Jervik, James Deckert, Caden Donahue and Kolter Kramer each had hits. Donahue drove in a run. Carter Sommer started and struck out seven batters, while allowing two earned runs on four hits in his five-inning start. 

For Mount Vernon/Plankinton/Corsica-Stickney, Taite Klumb finished with two hits and an RBI. Tyson Wentland and Lucas Krogstad had hits. Wentland drove in a run. Klumb took the loss after allowing eight hits, four earned runs, three walks and struck out seven batters in his 5.2-inning start. 


Elk Point/Jefferson Post 134 4, Dakota Valley Post 319 3

ELK POINT — Elk Point/Jefferson Post 134 used a two-run fifth inning to edge Dakota Valley in an American Legion region baseball action on Tuesday. 

Ty Trometer, Ben Swatek and Kayden Moore finished with two hits apiece. Moore earned the win after allowing five hits, two earned runs, one walk and struck out two batters in a complete-game performance. 

For Dakota Valley, Jackson Boonstra and Drew Lukken had two hits apiece. Jaxon Hennies drove in two runs. Ben Anderson took the loss after allowing eight hits, two earned runs, three walks and struck out three batters in his 5.1-inning start.
