Platte-Geddes 4, Winner/Colome 3

WINNER — Dawson Hoffman’s two-out RBI single lifted Platte-Geddes past Winner/Colome in the 16th inning of a Region 7B American Legion marathon baseball game on Wednesday. 

The contest, which lasted 3 1/2 hours, featured 11 scoreless innings, 23 hits and nine pitchers. Platte-Geddes’ Dakota Munger finished with two hits, including a solo home run in the first inning. Tanner Dyk added two hits, while Hoffman drove in two total runs. Aiden Bultje, Oakley Kott and Caden Oberbroekling added hits. Dyk earned the win after throwing two scoreless relief innings and gave up one hit, while striking out two batters. Oberbroekling started and struck out seven batters, gave up six hits, two earned runs and four walks in five innings.

For Winner/Colome, Pierce Nelson and Rocky Wiedman had three hits apiece. Nelson drove in two runs. Ethan Bartels, Aiden Barfuss and Zach Olson had two hits apiece. Landon Calhoon, Quincy Phillips and Ryder Halligan each had hits. Bartels started and struck out nine batters, while he allowed one hit, one earned run and walked five batters in his 6.1-inning start.  

Gregory County 6, Belle Fourche Post 32 3

WINNER — Gregory County used a three-run fifth inning to help secure a Region 7B American Legion baseball win over Belle Fourche Post 32 on Wednesday. 

Rylan Peck finished with three hits and drove in two runs in the win. Sawyer Tietgen, Lincoln Juracek, Kade Braun and Jad Leber each had two hits. Braun drove in two runs. Peck picked up the win after allowing two hits, zero runs, one walk and struck out one batter in his 2.1-inning start. Cash Hemming struck out four batters, allowed four hits, one earned run and walked four batters in 4.2 relief innings. 

For Belle Fourche, Harvey Walding had two hits and drove in one run. Aiden Voyles drove in two runs. Anthony Budmayr took the loss after allowing six hits, five earned runs, six walks and struck out four batters in his 4.2-inning start. 

Redfield Post 92 24, Clark/Willow Lake 0 (5 innings)

NORTHVILLE — Redfield Post 24 picked up a convincing region baseball win over Clark/Willow Lake on Wednesday. 

Nolan Gall led Redfield with three hits and five RBI. Owen Osborn, Erik Salmen, Elliott Komras and Elijah Morrissette each two hits apiece. Salmen drove in five runs, while Osborn knocked in four runs. Salmen hammered a home run. Keaton Rohlfs earned the win after allowing two hits, zero runs, zero walks and struck out six batters in five innings.

For Clark/Willow Lake, Lucas Kanniegeter and Jack Helkenn had hits.
