Salem/Montrose/Canova 3, Alexandria 0

ALEXANDRIA — Luke Koepsell’s complete game on the mound blanked Alexandria in Region 5B tournament action Tuesday.

Koepsell allowed just five hits in seven innings of work, striking out six batters while batting 1-for-3 at the plate for SMC.

Shea Klinkhammer drove in two runs on two hits, Kade Shumaker hit an RBI single that scored another, while Jackson Remmers and Koepsell each tallied hits in the win.

For Alexandria, Tyler Sanderson allowed three runs on five hits and two walks in 5.2 innings, striking out six batters.

Esten Schlimgen batted 2-for-3, while AJ Wilber, Weston Kayser, and Sutton Dewald each had hits in the loss. 


Lake Norden/Badger 15, Redfield 1 (5 innings)

ALEXANDRIA — Five Lake Norden/Badger hitters drove in all 15 runs as it defeated Redfield in Region 5B action Tuesday.

Dawson Noem and George Jensen each batted 2-for-3 with a walk, triple, and four RBIs, Lane Tvedt drove in three runs on a 2-for-4 day at the plate, Cristhian Rodriguez drove in two runs on two hits, including a double, Kadyn Fast tallied two RBIs, while Tyson Stevenson cracked two hits in the win as well.

Ryker Warrington took the victory on the mound in two shutout innings, allowing three hits while striking out four batters.

For Redfield, Micah Zastrow took the loss in 2.1 innings, allowing 11 runs on five hits and two walks, striking out one batter.

Eli Morrisette tallied two hits, Noah Johnson drove in a run, while Kevin Weller, Zastrow, and Chase Odland each tallied hits in the loss.


Lake Norden/Badger 7, Humboldt/Hartford 2

ALEXANDRIA — George Jensen hit a grand slam during a Region 5B tournament victory over Humboldt/Hartford Tuesday.

Jensen drove in four runs on a grand slam, Tyson Stevenson and Kamden Keszler each drove in a run on one hit, Kadyn Fast tallied an RBI on two walks, while Dawson Noem, Lane Tvedt, and Cristhian Rodriguez each tallied hits in the win.

Noem earned the victory on the mound in four shutout innings, issuing just two hits and a walk while striking out five.

For Humboldt/Hartford, Landen Holewa took the loss in 5.2 innings, allowing four runs on five hits and five walks, striking out three batters.

Keaton Vessells drove in a run on one hit, Holewa tallied two hits, while Will Nester and Cain Grocott each tallied hits in the loss.


Chamberlain 1, Belle Fourche 0

PLATTE — Chamberlain’s Dakota Munger struck out 15 batters in a Region 7B tournament victory over Belle Fourche Tuesday.

Munger threw seven no-hit innings for Chamberlain, allowing just one walk and one hit-by-pitch, striking out 15 batters to earn the victory on the mound.

Sandler Wiekamp drove in the go-ahead run in the seventh inning, while Cooper Leiferman and Munger each tallied hits, including a walk by Munger as well.

For Belle Fourche, Nolan Wahlfeldt took the loss allowing one run on three hits and one walk, striking out 11 batters in seven innings pitched.


Platte/Geddes 4, Gregory County 1

PLATTE — Caden Oberbroekling struck out 15 batters as Platte/Geddes moved past Gregory County in the Region 7B legion tournament Tuesday.

Oberbroekling tossed his 15 strikeouts in just six innings on the mound, allowing one run on four hits and four walks,earning the victory on the mound for P/G.

Maddux VanZee drove in a run on two hits, including a double, Hayden Sprik drove in a run on one hit and one walk, Jye Bailey drove in a run on a sac-fly, while Tanner Dyk, Oberbroekling, Keaton Christiansen, Kenyon Kuiper, and Ashton Krumvieda each tallied hits in the win.

For Gregory County, Noah Bearshield took the loss in one inning, allowing one run on two hits and four walks.

Sawyer Tietgen drove in the lone run on one hit and a walk, while Jader Shonebaum, Jad Leber, and Cash Hemming each tallied hits in the loss.


Winner/Colome 11, Chamberlain 1 (6 innings)

PLATTE — Camdyn Anderson threw just 62 pitches in six innings as Winner/Colome defeated Chamberlain in Region 7B action Tuesday.

Anderson allowed one run on seven hits and one hit-by-pitch to earn the victory on the mound for W/C.

Quincy Phillips batted 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs, Aiden Barfuss drove in two runs on a double, Ryder Haligan drove in a run on two hits, while Karson Keiser had an RBI-double in the win as well.

For Chamberlain, Graden Holan took the loss allowing nine runs on six hits and four walks, striking out seven batters in five innings.

Dakota Munger drove in a run on two hits, Rayden Haak collected two hits, while Conway Collins, Cooper Leiferman, and Sandler Wiekamp each tallied hits in the loss.


Belle Fourche 8, Gregory County 2

PLATTE — Belle Fourche poured on seven-fourth inning runs to defeat Gregory County in Region 7B tournament action Tuesday.

Harvey Walding and Nolan Wahlfeldt each drove in two runs on one hit, including a double by Wahlfeldt, Caden Thomsen drove in a run on a double and two walks, while Gavin Pearson and Raif Parmeter each drove in a run on a walk in the victory.

Caeyn Howard took the victory on the mound allowing two runs on five hits and two walks, striking out five batters in 6.2 innings.

For Gregory, Jader Schonebaum took the loss allowing five runs on five walks in 3.2 innings, striking out four.

Sawyer Tietgen and Rane Kenzy each drove in a run on one hit, while Gannon Thomas, Schonebaum, Jad Leber, and Cash Hemming each tallied hits in the loss.


Groton 25, Mobridge 2 (5 innings)

CLARK — Bradin Althoff and Braxton Imrie each drove in four runs in a Region 6B tournament victory over Mobridge Tuesday.

Althoff drove in four runs on a triple and a walk, Imrie batted 2-for-2 with three walks, a double, and four RBIs, Teylor Diegel, Dillon Abeln, and Colby Dunker each drove in two runs on a combined four hits and three walks, including doubles by Diegel and Dunker. Brevin Fliehs, Ryan Groeblinghoff, Carter Simon, and Korbin Kucker each drove in a run on one hit in the win for Mobridge as well.

Nick Morris earned the victory on the mound tossing three shutout innings, allowing one walk while striking out two batters.

For Mobridge, Mack Saxon took the loss allowing four runs on two hits and five walks in 0.2 innings pitched.

Saxon drove in two runs on a homer, while Taylon Carmody and Wesley Arnott each tallied hits in the loss.


Clark/Willow Lake 9, Claremont 1

CLARK — Josh Kannegieter’s nine strikeouts lifted Clark/Willow Lake to a Region 6B tournament victory over Claremont Tuesday.

Kannegieter allowed one run on six hits and three walks in 5.2 innings, fanning nine batters to earn the victory on the mound for C/WL.

Jakob Steen and Collin Gaikowski each drove in two runs on two hits, Conner Mudgett drove in two runs on a double, Jack Helkenn batted 1-for-4 with an RBI, Tyson Huber drove in a run on a walk, while Will Hovde and Waylan Olson each tallied hits in the win.

For Claremont, Kassen Keough took the loss allowing six runs on five hits and four walks, striking out six batters.

Chris Cutler batted 3-for-3 driving in a run, Rennan Bruns collected two hits in four at-bats, while Grant Cutler, Keough, Will Schuller, and Nate Schuller each tallied hits in the loss.


Faulkton/Highmore 5, Clark/Willow Lake 2

CLARK — Blaze Herdman’s three-hit day helped Faulkton/Highmore defeat Clark/Willow Lake in Region 6B Legion tournament action Tuesday.

Herdman batted 3-for-3 with two RBIs, Gus Kopecky and Miles McPeak each drove in a run on one hit, while Layne Cotton tallied a double in the win.

Carson Stephenson took the victory on the mound allowing two runs on four hits in three innings of work.

For C/WL, Cooper Pommer took the loss allowing five runs on six hits in six innings, striking out five batters.

Jack Helkenn batted 2-for-3 with a double, Conner Mudgett drove in a run on a double, while Will Hovde and Collin Gaikowski each tallied hits in the loss.


Groton 9, Warner/Ipswich/Northwestern 2

CLARK — Bradin Althoff drove in four runs during a Region 6B tournament victory over Warner/Ipswich/Northwestern Tuesday.

Althoff batted 3-for-5 with a double, triple, and four RBIs, Brevin Fliehs and Colby Dunker each tallied two hits, Ryan Groeblinghoff and Gavin Englund each drove in a run on one hit, while Teylor Diegel and Dillon Abeln each tallied hits in the win.

Abeln took the victory on the mound in five innings of work, allowing two runs on five hits while recording four strikeouts.

For WIN, Ashton Remily took the loss in 4.1 innings, allowing eight runs on nine hits and two walks, striking out six.

Dawson Ward and Devon Fischbach each tallied two hits, while Alec Mikkelson, Quinton Fischbach, and Xavier Kadlec each tallied hits in the loss.


Mount Vernon/Plankinton/Corsica-Stickney 6, Tabor 2

CORSICA — Tyson Wentland drove in three runs during a Region 4B tournament win over Tabor Tuesday.

Wentland batted 2-for-4 with a home run for the Padres, tallying three RBIs, Cain Tobin tallied two RBIs on one hit and one walk, Daniel Laufman tallied two hits, while Keegan Hill drove in a run on three walks in the victory.

Evan Bultsma took the win on the mound for MVPCS, allowing two runs on three hits and three walks, striking out eight batters over 5.1 innings.

For Tabor, Landon Schmidt took the loss in 3.1 innings, allowing four runs on two hits and six walks, striking out three batters.

Schmidt tallied two hits, Landon Bares and Landon Smith each tallied hits, while Jace Toupal drove in a run on a walk for Tabor in the loss.


Wagner 3, Menno 2

CORSICA — Wagner scored two seventh-inning runs to stun Menno in the opening round of the Region 4B Legion tournament Tuesday.

Joey Cournoyer paced the Wagner offense driving in two runs on two hits, Hunter Loeffler drove in a run on a walk, while Carter Cournoyer, Frank Soukup, and Preston McFayden each tallied hits in the win.

Soukup earned the victory on the mound in 1.2 shutout innings, allowing just two walks while striking out three Menno batters.

For Menno, Bryce Sattler took the loss allowing two runs on four hits and a walk in 3.2 innings, striking out four.

Sattler batted 2-for-4 for Menno, Rocky Ammann collected two hits as well, Riley Tschetter and Kory Keppen each tallied hits, including a double and a walk by Keppen, while Parker Hochstein drove in a run on a walk in the loss.


Parkston 8, Mount Vernon/Plankinton/Corsica-Stickney 3

CORSICA — Carter Sommer’s complete game on the mound lifted Parkston to the Region 4B semi finals Tuesday night.

Sommer tossed all seven innings, allowing three runs on four hits and two walks, striking out six batters to earn the victory on the mound for Parkston.

Sommer batted 3-for-5 with a triple and an RBI, Luke Bormann batted 2-for-4 with a double, a walk, and two RBIs, Brayden Jervik drove in two runs on a hit and a walk, Kolter Kramer drove in a run on a single, while James Deckert, Kaden Holzbauer, Drew Braley, and Brody Boettcher each tallied hits, combining for five walks in the victory.

For MVPCS, Tyson Wentland took the loss in 4.2 innings on the mound, allowing five runs on nine hits and two walks, striking out four batters.

Daniel Laufman drove in a run on one hit, Cain Tobin drove in a run, while Blaine Bohr and Keegan Hill each tallied hits in the loss.


Baltic/Colton 10, Volga 6

MADISON — Baltic/Colton scored eight-seventh inning runs to stun Volga in Region 2B tournament action Tuesday.

Beau Keith and Tate Feucht each drove in three runs on two hits and a combined three walks, including a home run by Keith and a double by Feucht. Everett Althoff drove in a run on one hit, while Nathan Madison, Gunner Schultz, and Braxten Allen each tallied hits in the win.

Feucht earned the victory on the mound in six innings pitched, allowing six runs on six hits and two walks, striking out six.

For Volga, Andrew Gunderson took the loss in 1.1 innings, allowing six runs on five hits and a walk, striking out two.

Caleb Murphy and Micah Otto drove in a combined three runs on four hits, including two doubles by Murphy, while Jace Christensen and Matthew Gassman each drove in a run on one hit for Volga.
