Hartford 118/Humboldt 62 4, Garretson 3

GARRETSON — Hartford 118/Humboldt 62 edged Garretson in a Legion baseball game on Tuesday.

Andrew Zimmer picked up the win for Hartford 118/Humboldt 62, allowing seven hits and three runs in six innings, while striking out three and walking one.

Deuce Sherard and Jack Linneman collected two hits each, while Sherard also drove in two runs.

Dylan Kindt took the loss for Garretson, pitching three innings and allowing four hits and four runs while striking out two.

Jake Schroeder led Garretson with three hits in three at bats.


Hartford 118/Humboldt 62 8, Garretson 7

GARRETSON — Hartford 118/Humboldt 62 picked up a close win over Garretson in a Legion baseball on Tuesday.

Domo Chandaswang earned the win for Hartford 118/Humboldt 62, giving up seven runs on eight hits in 5 ⅔ innings, while striking out three.

Hartford 118/Humboldt 62 tallied 11 hits, including two apiece from Chandaswang, Bennett Sebert, and Andrew Zimmer. 

Jayse Miller took the loss for Garretson, pitching two innings and allowing four runs on three hits, while striking out four.

Colby Buseman and Jaylen Kemp each had two hits to lead Garretson, which had eight hits as a team. Carson Clark had two RBI’s.


Mount Vernon/Plankinton/Corsica-Stickney Padres 15, Wessington Springs 1

PLANKINTON — The Mount Vernon/Plankinton/Corsica-Stickney Padres scored nine runs in the first inning and never looked back in a Legion baseball win over Wessington Springs on Tuesday.

Lucas Krogstad took the win for the Padres, pitching three innings and allowing one run on one hit, while striking out two and walking one.

The Padres racked up 13 hits, with Drew Gerlach, Griffin Tobin, Tyson Wentland, Cole Feenstra, and Kane Knudson each tallying two hits. Tobin led the way with four RBI’s, while Wentland added three RBI’s. Austin Hauge and Thomas Stange each had two RBI’s. Brendan Wentland recorded two stolen bases.

Clay Olinger took the loss for Wessington Springs, giving up eight runs on five hits in ⅔ of an inning, while striking out one.


Post 15 East 12, Mitchell Post 18 2

MITCHELL — Post 15 East cruised past Mitchell Post 18 for a Legion baseball win on Tuesday.

Myles Rees took the win for Post 15 East, giving up two runs on five hits in seven innings, while striking out five.

Rees and Jackson Boe led Post 15 East with three hits, while Jack Smith, Ethan Bruns, and Dylan Rippentrop each added two hits. Rees, Boe, Bruns, Sawyer Tolk, and Mason Tolrud each drove in two runs.

Jonah Schmidt took the loss for Post 18, lasting three innings and allowing six hits and six runs while striking out one.

Jake Helleloid and Seth Muth each had two hits to lead Post 18.


Mitchell Post 18 5, Post 15 East 4

MITCHELL — Mitchell Post 18 earned a narrow win over Post 15 East in a Legion baseball game on Tuesday.

Jace Larson took the win for Post 18, allowing four runs on four hits in seven innings, while striking out three and walking one.

Seth Muth led Post 18 with two hits in four at bats.

Tate Schafer took the loss for Post 15 East, allowing five hits and five runs in five innings, while striking out eight.

Gage Sharping led Post 15 East with two hits in four at bats.


Tabor Post 183 6, Post 1 5

TABOR — An eighth inning walk-off error helped Tabor Post 183 edge Post 1 in a Legion baseball game on Tuesday.

Dustin Honomichl earned the win for Tabor Post 183, allowing zero hits and zero runs in ⅔ of an inning, while striking out one. Landon Smith started the game for Post 183, pitching five innings and allowing two runs on two hits and striking out three.

Tabor Post 183 tallied 11 hits in the game. Trent Herrboldt led Tabor Post 183 with three hits in four at bats, while Honomichl and Nolan Carda had two hits each. Herrboldt also drove in two runs.

Willis Robertson took the loss for Post 1, allowing 11 hits and six runs while striking out seven and walking one in 7 ⅓ innings.

Post 1 had eight hits, with Jake Jensen leading with three hits in four at bats. T.J. Tracy had two hits, while Clayton Sorenson drove in two runs.


Platte/Geddes White Caps 13, Gregory County 3

PLATTE — The Platte/Geddes White Caps cruised past Gregory County for a Legion baseball win on Tuesday.

Carter Lenz took the win for the White Caps, allowing three hits and three runs in five innings, while striking out six.

Platte/Geddes recorded nine hits, including Grayson Hanson leading with three hits in four at bats and three RBI’s. Aiden Bultje had two hits and two RBI’s.

Bryce Frank took the loss for Gregory County, allowing eight runs on six hits in four innings, while striking out five.

Brogan Glover, Trey Murray, and Gunner Stephens had one hit apiece for Gregory County. Glover also drove in two runs.


Post 911 Chargers 7, Beresford/Alcester-Hudson Post 72 Black Sox 4

BERESFORD — The Post 911 Chargers earned a Legion baseball win over the Beresford/Alcester-Hudson Post 72 Black Sox on Tuesday.

Harris Adamson took the win for the Post 911 Chargers, allowing zero runs on one hits, while striking out two in two innings.

Caden Reitz, Aaron Stotts, Tate Connell, Jack Tinklenberg, Denver Kindt, and Austin Connell each had one hit for the Post 911 Chargers. Elijah Myers had two RBI’s.

Robert Watkins took the loss for the Black Sox, giving up seven runs on six hits in seven innings, while striking out seven. Ethan Bovill led the Black Sox with two hits in four at bats.

The Post 911 Chargers also won game two, 11-3.


Brandon Valley Post 131 5, Sioux Falls Post 15 West 2

SIOUX FALLS — Brandon Valley Post 131 picked up a Legion baseball win over Sioux Falls Post 15 West on Tuesday.

Tayden Mitchell took the win for Post 131, pitching 3 ⅓ innings and allowing two runs on two hits, while striking out three and walking one.

Austin Reiter, Ayden Spicer, Matt Brown, and Ty Peyton each had one hit for Post 131. Peyton had two RBI’s, while Brown had three stolen bases.

Kyler Miritello took the loss for Post 15 West, allowing three hits and four runs in five innings, while striking out four.
