BURKE — The Kimball/White Lake girls and Mitchell Christian boys both had dominant performances in winning team titles at Thursday’s Great Plains Conference meet run at the Burke Golf Course. 

The Kimball/White Lake girls scored just eight points, well ahead of Burke (39) and Freeman Academy/Marion (42). The Mitchell Christian boys also scored eight points to win the team title, ahead of Freeman Academy/Marion (30) and Gayville-Volin (34). 

Kimball/White Lake’s Lily Baker covered the 5,000-meter course in 19 minutes and :59 seconds, ahead of Burke’s Sophia Bauld (20:27) and Kimball/White Lake’s Autumn Baker (20:42). Kimball/White Lake’s Allie McCord (21:06) and Gayville-Volin’s Jolie Westrum (21:08) rounded out the top-five. 

Mitchell Christian’s Silas Holdeman won the boys race in 16:38, ahead of Freeman Academy/Marion’s Finley McConniel (16:53) and Mitchell Christian’s Luke Mentele (17:09). Mitchell Christian’s Sawyer Holdeman (17:31) and Gregory’s Finn Adams (18:04) rounded out the top-five finishers.
