SCOTLAND — The Kimball/White Lake girls and Mitchell Christian boys claimed team titles at Wednesday’s Region 3B cross-country meet. 

The KWL girls recorded eight points, well ahead of Menno (34) and Burke (38). Freeman Academy/Marion (41) and Andes Central/Dakota Christian (45) rounded out the top-five teams.

On the boys side, Mitchell Christian finished with 32 points, finishing ahead of Kimball/White Lake (46) and Freeman (59). Freeman Academy/Marion (60) and Avon (69) rounded out the top-five teams.

Individually, KWL’s Lily Baker covered the 5,000-meter distance at Dawson Creek Golf Course in 20:36.23, finishing ahead of Burke’s Sophia Bauld (21:08.70). The KWL trio of Alli McCord (21:26.79), April Skluzak (21:30.46) and Autumn Baker (21:51.51) rounded out the top-five runners.

On the boys side, Mitchell Christian’s Silas Holdeman (17:05.61) captured the individual race. FAM’s Finley McConniel (17:11.61) and Mitchell Christian’s Luke Mentele (17:32.09) placed second and third, respectively. Mitchell Christian’s Sawyer Holdeman (17:50.16) and Freeman’s Lane McCune (17:53.37) rounded out the top-five runners.
