LEAD — Lead-Deadwood senior James Pierce is having a heck of a senior year. 

Pierce won the 100-meter dash (:11.69), the 200-meter dash (:22.79), the 400-meter dash (:49.77) and ran a leg on Lead-Deadwood’s winning 400-meter relay (:46.01) on his home track Tuesday. 

In other boys action, Sturgis hurdler Jayden Ludwick won the 110-meter hurdles (:17.09) and 300-meter hurdles (:46.15). It was a good day all around for the Sturgis ls as Taiton Ortlieb won the high jump (5-6), Cole Litzen the long jump (18-8) and Jaxon Cano the triple jump (36-6). The Scoopers also won the 800-meter relay (1:40.12)

The New Underwood boys picked up two relay titles winning the 3,200 meter relay (9:15.72) and the sprint medley relay (4:11.59).

In girls action Lead-Deadwood’s Allison Mollman won the 100-meter dash (:13.49), 200-meter dash (:28.03) and ran a leg on the Golddiggers winning 400-meter relay team.

Sturgis freshman Lucy Hamer won the 800-meter run (2:33.43) and 1,600 meter run (5:48.75) and ran a leg on the winning 1,600 meter relay (4:36.76). Sturgis athlete Erin Shaw won the long jump (15-4) and the triple jump (32-7.75). 

Lemmon seventh grader Tenley Sonsalla won the 100-meter hurdles (:18.00) and 300 meter hurdles (:52.30) and ran a leg on Lemmon’s winning sprint medley relay (4:47.68).
