FAITH — The Lemmon cross-country teams swept titles Friday at the North Shore Golf Course at the Marlene Gustafason/Ryan Day meet. 

In the boys race Lemmon was the only team that fielded enough runners to compete for the team title. The Cowboys racked up 31 points to claim team title honors.

The Lemmon girls were the only team to compete for team honors and the Cowgirls racked up 24 points. 

In the boys race Lemmon’s Hayden Bently 18:49 won the race, ahead of Newell’s Clint Winkler (19:06) and Wakpala’s Martin Plenty Chief (19:42). Lemmon’s Gage Anderson (19:44) and Kadoka Area’s Hudson Taylor (20:23) rounded out the top-five.

In the girls individual race Lemmon’s Karly Riley (21:18) finished ahead of Newell’s Rachel Erk (23:04) and Newell’s Eirelyn Bender (24:28). Black Hills Christian Academy’s Evelyn Torberson (24:28) and Lemmon’s Quinn Butler (24:43) rounded out the top-five.
