Mount Vernon/Plankinton's Reagan Rus wins three events at Greenway Relays
Mount Vernon/Plankinton's Reagan Rus won the 100-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles at Friday's Greenway Relays.

MOUNT VERNON — Mount Vernon/Plankinton senior Reagan Rus won the 100-meter hurdles (: 15.75) and 300-meter meter hurdles (:46.59) at Friday’s Greenway Relays in Mount Vernon. Rus also ran a leg on the winning 1,600-meter relay (4:19.08) that included teammates Aspen Bosma, Abigail Engelland and Sammi Eide. 

The Burke girls won the team title with 110 points, ahead of Ethan/Parkston (89) and Canton (65). Mount Vernon/Plankinton (56) and Arlington (50) rounded out the top five teams. 

Ethan/Parkston won the boys team title with 98.3 points, ahead of Mount Vernon/Plankinton (77) and Kimball/White Lake (68). Tri-Valley (68) and Wagner (56) rounded out the top five teams. 

Arlington’s Chloe Raw won the 100-meter dash (:11.08) and 200-meter dash (:24.91). Raw also anchored the winning 400-meter relay (:51.61)

Kimball/White Lake’s Autumn Baker won the 1,600-meter run (5:18.67) and 3,200-meter run (11:45.40).

Burke’s Paige Bull won the shot put (36-07) and discus (141-08).

Sanborn Central/Woonsocket’s Elizabeth Boschee won the high jump (5-00) and the javelin (130-06).

Other girls winners were Wolsey-Wessington’s Kendal Uttecht in the 400-meter dash (1:02.20), Mount Vernon/Plankinton’s Sammi Eide in the 800-meter run (2:22.56), Ethan/Parkston’s Lauren Ziebart in the long jump (15-00.75) and Ethan/Parkston’s Rory Juhnke in the triple jump (33-02.25).

Other relay winners were Burke in the 800-meter relay (1:51.38) and Ethan/Parkston in the 3,200-meter relay (10:09.35). 

In boys action Canton’s Landon Dominisse won the 100-meter dash (:11.31) and 200-meter dash (:22.69).

Kimball/White Lake’s Park Sinclair won the 1,600-meter run (4:46.94) and 3,200-meter run (10:25.12). 

Tri-Valley’s Ty Oyen won the 110-meter hurdles (:15.49) and ran a leg on the winning 400-meter relay team (:44.36). 

Other winners for the boys were Andes Central/Dakota Christian’s Sabas DeHaan in the 400-meter dash (:52.68), Ethan/Parkston’s Reco Muilenburg in the 800-meter run (2:12.51), Mount Vernon/Plankinton’s Cole Sandland in the 300-meter hurdles (:43.42), Mount Vernon/Plankinton’s Trayton Moore in the shot put (43-00.50), Andes Central/Dakota Christian’s AJ Johnson in the discus (140-03), Wagner’s Javian Pesicka in the javelin (152-02), Wagner’s Shea Kjeldgaard in the high jump (5-07), Wagner’s Brayden Kreber in the long jump (19-11.25) and Mount Vernon/Plankington’s Cole Sandland in the triple jump (41-06.75).

Other relay winners were Ethan/Parkston in the 800-meter relay (1:33.82), Ethan/Parkston in the 1600-meter relay (3:42.50) and Wessington Springs in the 3200-meter relay (9:00.21).
