SALEM — Mount Vernon/Plankinton senior Berkeley Engelland won four events to help lead the Titans to the girls team title at the Gene Danielsen Relays on Tuesday. 

MVP won the team title with 95 points, ahead of Menno (71) and Hanson (55). Baltic (51) and Colman-Egan (49) rounded out the top-five teams. 

The Hanson boys racked up 93.2 points, ahead of Colman-Egan (63) and Chester (54). Menno (50) and Baltic (45.2) rounded out the top-five boys teams. 

Engelland won the 100-meter dash (:12.65), 200-meter dash (:26.48), 400-meter dash (:57.40) and 800-meter run (2:22.10). MVP’s Clara Frank won the shot put (36-10.5) and discus (120-06). Abigail Engelland won the 3,200-meter run (:12.05.85).

Menno’s Ashton Massey won the 100-meter hurdles (:15.42), 300-meter hurdles (:45.91), triple jump (35-08) and finished third in the 200-meter dash (:27.94). 

Colman-Egan’s Daniela Lee finished second in the 100-meter dash (:12.77), second in the 200-meter dash (:27.41) and anchored the winning 400-meter relay (:52.46) and 800-meter relay (1:52.65).

Chester’s Emery Larson won the 1,600-meter run (5:13.18), and teamed with Jacy Wolf, Katelyn Schut and Emmerson Eppard to win the sprint medley relay (4:23.72). Larson also ran a leg on Chester’s winning 1600-meter relay team (4:21.07)

Dell Rapids St. Mary senior Lucas Flemmer won the 100-meter dash (:11.04), 200-meter dash (:23.08) and 400-meter dash (:50.50). 

Chester’s Jovi Wolf won the triple jump (42-03) and finished second in the 100-meter dash (:11.04), second in the 400-meter dash (:50.78). Chester’s Zachery Meyer won the 110-meter hurdles (:16.16) and 300-meter hurdles (:43.87)

The Freeman relay quartet of Luke Peters, Tate Sorenson, Chris Aasen and Rocky Ammann won the 400-meter relay (:45.63) and 800-meter relay (1:33.98)

Hanson’s Brock Tuttle captured the shot put (52-03.5) and discus (152-04). Hanson’s Keaton Weber won the long jump (20-08.50). The Beavers won the sprint medley relay (3:49.70) and the 1,600-meter relay (3:36.97). 

Mitchell Christian earned a pair of distance wins with Luke Mentele winning the 1,600-meter run (4:51.31) and Silas Holdeman winning the 3,200-meter run (10:02.66).
