Burke 3, Herreid/Selby Area 1

CHAMBERLAIN — Burke topped Herreid/Selby Area in a Class B SoDak 16 high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 18-25, 25-17, 25-15 and 25-23.

Burke will play in the Class B state volleyball tournament on Nov. 16-18 in Rapid City.


Platte-Geddes 3, Elkton-Lake Benton 1

MITCHELL — Platte-Geddes knocked off Elkton-Lake Benton and earned a spot in the Class A state volleyball tournament on Tuesday. The set scores were 21-25, 25-18, 25-19 and 25-21.

Platte-Geddes will play in the Class A state volleyball tournament on Nov. 16-18 in Rapid City. 

Platte-Geddes’ Karly VanDerWerff finished with 18 kills, 24 digs and three blocks. Kori VanDerWerff had eight kills and three digs. Hadley Hanson posted 28 digs. Baleigh Nachtigal recorded 49 assists, 12 digs, three blocks and one kill. Halle Sprik logged 12 digs. Emerson Ringling had nine kills and two blocks. Cadence VanZee had 21 kills and 17 digs. 

Elkton-Lake Benton stats were not reported.

Rapid City Christian 3, Winner 0 

RAPID CITY — Rapid City Christian swept Winner in Class A SoDak 16 volleyball action on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-11, 25-17 and 26-24.

Rapid City Christian will play in the Class A state volleyball tournament on Nov. 16-18 in Rapid City.

Rapid City Christian’s Ana Egge finished with 17 digs, 11 kills, three aces and two blocks. Faith King added two blocks, 10 kills, 11 digs and 24 assists. Maddie Altstiel and Kendall Glassbrenner added nine kills apiece. Glassbrenner had two aces and four digs. Lydia Williams recorded four kills, four digs and five blocks. Chloe Weber recorded 16 digs and three aces. Sophia DeWitt recorded 15 digs and one ace. Moriah Coyle posted 12 assists, eight digs and one ace. 

Winner stats were not reported.


Faulkton Area 3, Hitchcock-Tulare 0

MELLETTE — Faulkton Area swept Hitchcock-Tulare and advanced to the Class B state volleyball tournament on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-22, 25-14 and 25-20.

Faulkton Area will play in the Class B state volleyball tournament on Nov. 16-8 in Rapid City. 

Faulkton Area’s Carley Cotton finished with 17 kills and 28 digs. Addison Melius logged 14 kills and 17 digs. Micah Martinmaas posted 12 assists, while Tegan Baloun had 15 assists. Baloun had an ace. Jaymi Senn had a solo block. Baloun and Kelli Stoecker each had two block assists.

For Hitchcock-Tulare, Katelyn Schroeder finished with 15 kills and 16 digs. Ella Johnson added five kills, while Rebecca Huizenga had six kills. Lila Johnson added 22 assists, 12 digs and two block assists. Gracyn Bixler posted six assists and two aces. Cambree Hoekman had 19 digs. Isabel Gilbert and Lila Johnson had two block assists. 


Wagner 3, Mobridge-Pollock 2 

PIERRE — Wagner outlasted Mobridge-Pollock in a five-set Class A SoDak 16 volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-20, 23-25, 25-22, 22-25 and 15-7.

Wagner will play in the Class A state volleyball tournament on Nov. 16-18 in Rapid City. 

Mobridge-Pollock’s Charley Henderson logged 20 kills and 11 digs. Raelyn Aberle and Ryli Thompson posted 13 kills apiece. Aberle had 21 digs and Thompson added 19 digs. Reagan Weisbeck had 28 digs. Sophia Overland finished with 18 digs. Katy Kemnitz dished out 23 assists and Overland posted 20 assists. 

Wagner stats were not reported. 

 

Miller 3, Flandreau 0

HURON — Huron swept Flandreau in Class A SoDak 16 volleyball action on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-17, 25-17 and 25-12.

Miller will play in the Class A state volleyball tournament on Nov. 16-18 in Rapid City. 

Miller’s Aleah Schlechter posted 11 kills, while Paige Werdel added eight kills. Shaylee Anderberg logged four kills and one ace. Gracen Werdel added three kills. Jolie Palmer posted four aces and 21 digs. Heather Resel recorded 25 assists and 10 digs. Journey Palmer finished with 11 digs. 

 

Dell Rapids 3, Hill City 0

CHAMBERLAIN — Dell Rapids swept Hill City in Class A SoDak 16 volleyball action on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-11, 25-19 and 25-14.

Dell Rapid will play in the Class A state volleyball tournament on Nov. 16-18 in Rapid City. 

Dell Rapids’ Lauryn Kloth and Madelynn Henry posted 10 kills apiece. Kloth added two blocks, as did Clara Justice. Henry added six digs. Kylee Fiddelke posted six digs. Sophi Randall recorded seven kills, two blocks, 10 digs and 27 assists. Karlie Ingalls had four aces, while Alaina Wolff had three aces and five digs.

Hill City stats were not reported. 


Colman-Egan 3, Alcester-Hudson 0

HARTFORD — Colman-Egan swept Alcester-Hudson and advanced to the Class B state volleyball tournament on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-17, 25-15 and 25-9. 

Colman-Egan will play in the Class B state volleyball tournament on Nov. 16-18 in Rapid City. 

Daniela Lee led Colman-Egan with five kills, one block, two block assists and 16 digs. Anna Zwart also had a presence at the net with a team-leading nine kills, one block and two block assists. Lanie Mousel finished with 18 assists, two block assists and 11 digs. Presley Luze had a team-leading 19 digs to go along with two aces. Kaylee Voelker had two aces and 16 assists while Brynlee Landis added eight kills, four block assists and 16 digs.

Alcester-Hudson’s Alexis Gray posted three aces, six kills and 23 digs. Carly Patrick logged four kills and 12 digs. Devin Hongslo posted two assists, two kills and four digs. Elly Doering added four kills, four solo blocks and 11 digs. Emma Moeller had eight digs and two kills. Hannah Ahart had 15 assists and 10 digs. Jenna Manning had 29 digs. Jaeley Christenson had 10 digs. Baylee Klaschen added 14 digs.
