Pierre 17, Sturgis 14

STURGIS — Cooper Terwilliger hauled two touchdown receptions as Pierre outlasted Sturgis for a Friday high school football win. 

Terwilliger caught touchdown receptions of 17 and 30 yards from Kaleb Lounsbury. Carter Templeton added a 27-yard field goal for the Governors, who snapped a four-game losing streak. 

Sturgis’ Carter Williams connected with Dalyn Dschaak for a pair of touchdown receptions, one for 25 yards and one for 14 yards.

Kimball/White Lake 34, Gregory 14 

GREGORY — Iden Myers scored three rushing touchdowns and rushed for 193 yards on 25 carries as Kimball/White Lake picked up a Friday high school football win over Gregory. KWL finished with 360 yards on the ground. 

Myers scored two touchdown runs of six-yards apiece and had a 16-yard touchdown run. Johnny Lenz had a six-yard touchdown run and 37 yards rushing. Lucas Lenz hauled in a 30-yard touchdown reception from Park Sinclair. Sinclair finished with 53 passing yards. Nathan Mohnen had 11 rushes for 94 yards. Myers had six tackles on defense, while Lucas Lenz had five tackles. Chevy Fees had an interception and Graden Holan added a sack. 

Gregory’s Colt Keiser hauled in two touchdown receptions from Lincoln Juracek. Keiser caught seven catches for 116 yards. Juracek completed 10-of-17 passes for 140 yards. Juracek added 16 rushing yards. Keiser had 13 tackles. 


Corsica-Stickney 58, Burke 7

BURKE — A big night from Waylon Bolle helped Corsica-Stickney roll past Burke in Friday high school football action. 

Bolle led the Jaguars with 20 carries for 245 yards and three touchdowns and caught a 32-yard touchdown pass from Max Vanden Hoek. Caden Baumiller added 78 yards and a touchdown while Cody Keizer finished with 62 rushing yards and a touchdown. Tate Tolsma led the defense with 13 tackles. 

Gentry Bartling led Burke rushing for 80 yards and catching two passes for 56 yards and a touchdown. Kaleb Schonebum led the defense with 10 tackles while Bartling added eight stops on the night. 


Ipswich 14, Leola-Frederick 12 (OT)

IPSWICH — Ipswich’s Max Kulesa scored a touchdown and converted the two-point conversion in overtime as Ipswich slipped past Leola-Frederick in high school football action Friday. 

Kulesa led Ipswich rushing for 85 yards and two touchdowns while passing for 119 yards. Casey Geditz caught four passes for 56 yards and led the defense with 13 tackles. Kyle Hettich finished with 12 tackles and Shay Knust had 11 stops. 

Leola-Frederick tied the game late then took a brief lead in overtime as Noah Kippley found Westyn Thorpe for a score. Gavin Nickelsen led Leola-Frederick rushing for 78 yards. Kippley finished 14-of-15 passing for 152 yards. 


Avon 58, Scotland/Menno 20

AVON — Aziah Meyer continued to pile up rushing yards for the Class 9B No. 1 Avon Pirates on Friday. The Pirates racked up 519 total yards of offense. 

Meyer erupted for 383 yards and seven rushing touchdowns on just 13 carries. Landon Mudder added 59 yards rushing. Easton Sees had a passing touchdown. 

For Scotland/Menno, Izayah Ulmer completed 12-of-17 passes for 159 yards and three touchdowns. Trent Guthmiller added 63 yards rushing. 


Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central 32, Chamberlain 0

WESSINGTON SPRINGS — Wesley Molnar tossed three passing touchdowns as Class 11B No. 4 Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central blanked Chamberlain on Friday.

Molnar completed 8-of-17 passes for 206 yards. Colby Flowers had two catches for 68 yards and hauled in a 42-yard touchdown from Molnar. Ryder Michalek added a touchdown catch. Sam Poncelow posted two catches for 102 yards and a 68-yard touchdown reception. Grant Edwards rushed for two touchdowns and had 50 rushing yards on five carries. Bryce Larson had 11 carries for 62 yards. 

Flowers had four tackles and a sack. Nathan Gaikowski had six tackles and an interception. Dawson Larson added an interception.


Centerville 38, Gayville-Volin 22

GAYVILLE — A balanced offense helped Centerville earn a road win over Gayville-Volin in Friday night high school football action. 

Alec Austin led the Tornadoes rushing for 136 yards and three touchdowns. Austin completed 14-of-28 passes for 173 yards and two touchdowns while pacing the defense with 12 tackles. Miles Eide caught eight passes for 116 yards and had five tackles. 

Spencer Karstens led Gayville-Volin rushing for 58 yards and a touchdown. Karstens tossed two touchdown passes and finished with 214 yards. Carter Baron caught eight passes for 125 yards and two scores and led the defense with eight tackles. 


Elk Point-Jefferson 21, Flandreau 14

ELK POINT — Class 11B No. 3 Elk Point-Jefferson edged Flandreau for a Friday high school football win. 

EPJ’s Keaton Gale finished with 137 yards rushing on 13 carries and scored a touchdown. Gunner Ewing added 28 yards rushing and a 13-yard TD run. Luke Schmitz had a seven-yard rushing score. Gale passed for 64 yards. Grayson had two catches for 42 yards. 

For Flandreau, Paul Parsley completed 16-of-35 passes for 239 yards and a touchdown. Parsley added 23 rushing yards. Ben Ballard hauled in two touchdown receptions. Luke Sheppard had 71 yards receiving, while Cameron Flute had 62 yards receiving. 


Bon Homme 36, Platte-Geddes 18

TYNDALL — Bon Homme’s Major Aarstad powered the Cavaliers to a Friday high school football win over Platte-Geddes. 

Aarstad finished with 174 yards rushing a touchdown and also threw for a touchdown pass to Isaiah Crownover.  

Landon Schmidt had a rushing touchdown and a passing touchdown. Jackson Kaul had 92 yards rushing and a score. 

For Platte-Geddes, Jye Bailey finished 18-for-30 with 178 yards and had a passing touchdown. He also scored two rushing touchdowns. 


Viborg-Hurley 27, Hanson 14

ALEXANDRIA — Brady Schroedermeier powered Class 9AA No. 4 Viborg-Hurley to a Friday high school football win over Hanson. 

Schroedermeier completed 11-of-16 passes for 198 yards and threw three passing touchdowns to Brenner Gerdes. Schroedermeier added 19 carries for 51 yards rushing. Jacob Graves had a three-yard touchdown run. 

Hanson’s Esten Schlimgen completed 13-of-23 passes for 259 yards and threw two passing touchdowns. Weston Kayser hauled in six catches for 105 yards and a touchdown. Stetson Riggs caught a 19-yard touchdown pass. Jason Porth posted 66 yards receiving, while Sutton Dewald had 57 yards receiving. Kayser had 10 tackles and Dewald posted six tackles. 


Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy 52, Irene-Wakonda 0

IRENE — Freshman quarterback Easton Tschetter’s big night helped Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy to a win over Irene-Wakonda in high school football action Friday. 

Tschetter completed all eight of his passing attempts and finished with three touchdown passes and a rushing touchdown. Riley Tschetter and Karter Weber each had rushing touchdowns for the Phoenix. Titus Sperling had three receptions for 80 yards and two touchdowns. 

Jens Hansen led Irene-Wakonda rushing for 70 yards. Max Pollman stood out on defense leading the way with eight tackles. 


Harding County/Bison 55, Faith 6

FAITH — A punishing ground game helped Class 9A No. 5 Harding County/Bison blank Faith in high school football action Friday. 

Rylee Veal led the Ranchers rushing for 154 yards on seven carries, three of which went for touchdowns. Hayden Pihl added 99 yards rushing with one touchdown and completed 6-of-13 passes for two touchdowns. Nayati Bickderdyke led the receivers catching four passes for 56 yards and a touchdown. 

Zane Day led Faith rushing for 55 yards while Jackson Spencer added 42 yards on the ground and a rushing touchdown. Day led the Longhorn defense with seven tackles, five of them solo stops. 


Sully Buttes 50, Herreid/Selby Area 12 

ONIDA — Wesley Wittler had a hand in four touchdowns as Sully Buttes topped Herreid/Selby Area in Friday high school football action.

Wittler had two rushing touchdowns and two passing touchdowns. He threw a 15-yard TD strike to Gavin Colson and had a 63-yard pass to Lucas Arcoren. Kadyn Westergren added two rushing touchdowns for the Chargers. Easton Moore threw a 30-yard touchdown pass to Bretton Barber in the win. 

For HSA, Porter Gregg and Thatcher Kihne rushed for touchdowns. Kihne rushed for 81 yards on 10 carries. Gregg had 58 yards rushing on 12 carries. Adonnais Mills had 12 tackles.


Sioux Valley 42, Beresford 7

BERESFORD — Class 11B No. 2 Sioux Valley ran for 329 yards on their way to a win over Beresford in high school football action Friday. 

Donovan Rose led the Cossacks rushing for 171 yards and three touchdowns. Brock Christopherson rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown. Mitchell Guthmiller added 60 rushing yards and a touchdown while Jakob Guthmiller also had a rushing touchdown. Jameson Degen led the defense with two interceptions. 

Ashton Oberle completed 7-of-11 passes for 126 yards and a touchdown. Payden Hoffman caught seven passes for 56 yards and a touchdown. Malachi James had three catches for 63 yards and led the defense with 15 tackles. 


Alcester-Hudson 28, Dell Rapids St. Mary 22

ALCESTER — Alcester-Hudson edged Class 9B No. 2 Dell Rapids St. Mary in Friday high school football action. The Cubs finished with 201 total yards, including 152 on the ground in the win. 

Dell Rapids St. Mary’s Trimmier Hanson completed 9-of-16 passes for 184 yards and two touchdowns. Hanson added 23 rushing yards on 13 carries and a TD. Lincoln LeBrun had 17 carries for 56 yards. Keaton Hansen and LeBrun had touchdown receptions. Maverick LeBrun had 69 yards receiving on four catches. Hansen posted 10.5 tackles and Lincoln LeBrun added nine tackles. 

The Cardinals finished with 274 total yards.

Alcester-Hudson individual stats were not reported.


Aberdeen Roncalli 18, Milbank 7

ABERDEEN — Aiden Fisher lifted Aberdeen Roncalli to a Friday high school football win over Milbank. 

Fisher threw a pair of passing touchdowns, while he also hauled in a touchdown reception. Fisher threw his passing touchdowns to James Behan, while he caught a 21-yard TD pass from Zane Backous. 

Milbank’s Braylen Bowsher caught a 31-yard touchdown pass from Sam Rick. 


De Smet 46, Great Plains Lutheran 20

DE SMET — Ganon Henrich scored three touchdowns as De Smet picked up a high school football win over Great Plains Lutheran on Friday.

Henrich scored two rushing touchdowns and had a 95-yard kickoff return for a score. Slayten Wilkinson scored a rushing touchdown and a 65-yard kickoff return for a TD. Gannon Gillian posted a 15-yard TD run. 

For GPL, Brody Scharlemann finished with 119 yards rushing on eight carries. He completed 7-of-17 passes for 142 yards and threw a touchdown to Hayden Karli. Scharlemann rushed for 69 yards and a score. Micah Holien had a six-yard rushing touchdown. Karli hauled in four catches for 97 yards. Holien had 13 tackles and William Krenz added 11 tackles.

 

Castlewood 14, Estelline-Hendricks 6

CASTLEWOOD — Kamden Keszler scored two rushing touchdowns to spark Castlewood’s high school football win on Friday. 

Keszler scored on runs of 5 and 3 yards and finished with 59 yards rushing. Camron Eng ran 37 times for 192 yards. Brody Bass passed for 35 yards. Eng, Bryon Laue and Paul Everson each posted seven tackles.

For Estelline-Hendricks, Carson Reitz completed 7-of-11 passes for 101 yards and had a rushing touchdown. Wyat James caught three catches for 43 yards. Cooper Faehnrich rushed for 24 yards.


Groton Area 47, Sisseton 0

SISSETON — Korbin Kucker paced Groton Area to a Friday high school football win over Sisseton. 

Kucker completed 7-of-14 passes for 140 yards and threw two passing touchdowns to Christian Ehresmann. Kucker also connected with Teylor Diegel for a touchdown strike. Kucker also scored a rushing touchdown and on a fumble return. Brevin Fliehs added a one-yard TD run for the Tigers, who also scored on a 27-yard pass from Brayden Simon to Caden McInerney.

Skyler Godel rushed for 90 yards and Ehresmann hauled in three passes for 38 yards. Diegel had two catches for 62 yards. Ehresmann also made six tackles and Tucker Hardy had five stops.

For Sisseton, Boe Iverson rushed for 30 yards. Taylor Snaza posted seven tackles. 


Deuel 21, Webster Area 0

WEBSTER — Gabe Sather lifted Deuel to a Friday high school football win over Webster Area. 

Sather scored on a 60-yard punt run and added a 38-yard rushing touchdown. Sather added 51 yards rushing, six tackles and two interceptions on defense. Gavin Kloos rushed 13 times for 128 yards and had a 69-yard rushing score. Josiah Swenson added seven tackles. Ethan Prins recovered a fumble and Gavin Maaland intercepted a pass.

For Webster Area, Gavin Witt rushed for 96 yards on 15 carries and Ian Lesnar completed 4-of-14 passes for 72 yards. Jeron McCreary caught three passes for 66 yards and also added five tackles, including a quarterback sack. Matthew Mount made 10 tackles.


Dell Rapids 62, Canton 22

DELL RAPIDS —  The Class 11A No. 4 Dell Rapids Quarriers ran for 353 yards on their way to a win over Canton in high school football action Friday. 

Cole Ruesink led Dell Rapids rushing for 166 yards and scoring two touchdowns. Quinn Carr rushed for 95 yards and two touchdowns and Kenny Swanson and Lucas Keener each had rushing touchdowns for Dell Rapids. Drake Eastman caught one pass for 49 yards and a touchdown. 

Cain Wallner led Canton rushing for 98 yards and a touchdown while leading the defense with eight tackles. 


Lennox 36, Madison 28

MADISON — Lennox quarterback Boston Katzer tossed three touchdown passes as the Class 11A No. 2 Orioles defeated Madison in high school football action Friday 

Katzer completed 19-of-29 passes for 263 yards. Tate Gerdes led Lennox’s rushing attack with 63 yards and a touchdown. Drake Mikkelsen caught two passes for 79 yards and a touchdown. Layton Smith and Ramsey Williams each had touchdown receptions for Lennox. 

Ben Brooks led Madison rushing for 95 yards and passing for 242 yards and a touchdown pass. Caleb Hodges rushed for 44 yards and two touchdowns. Shane Veenhof caught nine passes for 102 yards and Myles Schneider hauled in six passes for 83 yards and a touchdown. 


Watertown 25, Tea Area 0

WATERTOWN — Class 11AA No. 4 Watertown shut out Class 11AA No. 5 Tea Area for a win in Friday night high school football action. 

Spencer Wientjes led the Arrows with 91 yards rushing and a touchdown. Marcus Fossum finished with 55 yards rushing and a touchdown. Nathan Briggs opened the game with a 90-yard kick return for an Arrows touchdown and caught one pass for 51 yards. Wientjes led the defense with seven tackles including four that went for losses. 

Dawson Eimers led Tea Area with four receptions for 73 yards while Tyler Rhead had three catches for 33 yards. Hayden Bialas led the Tea Area defense with six tackles, 3.5 of them for loss.
