Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 3, Iroquois/Lake Preston 1

FORESTBURG — Sanborn Central/Woonsocket defeated Iroquois/Lake Preston in a four-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-14, 25-11, 22-25 and 25-16.


Chester Area 3, West Central 1

HARTFORD — Class B No. 1 Chester Area defeated West Central in four sets during Tuesday’s volleyball action. The set scores were 29-27, 22-25, 25-20, and 25-16.

Chester Area’s stats were not reported.

West Central’s Sophia Gross had 11 kills, three blocks, and two digs, Ella Harden tallied 10 kills, Madi Ingalls recorded six kills, four aces, and eight digs, Cambree Ideker had 31 assists and 13 digs, while Addison Bartmann recorded three kills and four aces in the loss.


Burke 3, Andes Central/Dakota Christian 0

BURKE — Class B No. 2 Burke swept Andes Central/Dakota Christian in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-9, 25-15 and 25-6.

Burke’s Paige Bull finished with 14 kills and seven blocks. Kailee Frank added seven kills, five digs and one block. Emmie Hausmann had five kills and four digs. Addi Hood added four kills and three blocks. Kyrie Matucha posted four aces and four assists. Emmy Spencer tallied 15 assists and Ava Sargent had nine assists.

For ACDC, Josie Brouwer, Cami Ronfeldt and Halle Olson had two kills apiece. Brouwer added seven digs and Olson had four digs. Madilyn Janis posted 10 digs, while Madeline Derry had six assists. Olson had an ace.


Miller 3, Platte-Geddes 0

MILLER — Class A No. 4 Miller swept Platte-Geddes during Tuesday’s volleyball action. The set scores were 25-11, 25-17, and 27-25.

Miller’s Paige Werdel tallied nine kills and three aces, Kaihlyn Anderberg recorded seven kills, Jolie Palmer had 13 digs and four aces, Gracen Werdel recorded three kills and eight digs, while Olivia Resel had 27 assists in the win.

PG’s Kori VanDerWerff tallied eight kills, Addison DeVries had three kills, five digs, and an ace. Jerni Severson and Claire Maydew each had four blocks, while Halle Sprik tallied 14 digs in the loss.

 

Mobridge-Pollock 3, Aberdeen Roncalli 1

MOBRIDGE — Mobridge-Pollock topped Aberdeen Roncalli in a four-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 23-25, 25-20, 25-20 and 25-11.

Mobridge-Pollock’s Charley Henderson finished with 12 kills, 11 digs, four aces and one block. Raelyn Aberle added 12 kills and 16 digs. Grace Overland posted 11 kills and two blocks. Tegan Konold had nine kills and 15 digs. Sophia Overland finished with 13 digs and Jacy Netterville had seven digs. Overland had 27 assists and Ellie Kemnitz posted 13 assists. Netterville had four aces.

For Roncalli, Ava Hanson recorded 11 kills and two blocks. Karsyn Davis posted eight kills, while Rylee Voeller had six kills and two aces. Maddie Huber posted four aces and 19 digs. McKenna O’Keefe posted 16 digs. 

 

Madison 3, Milbank 2

MILBANK — Madison edged Milbank for a five-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 24-26, 25-19, 22-25, 25-21 and 15-12.

Madison’s Lydia Nelson finished with three blocks, 25 kills and 14 digs. Jaya Engels posted 16 kills and 20 digs. Ella Malone posted eight kills, four aces and four blocks. Kate Johnson added 14 digs. Calista Sahr had four aces. Karley Theede posted 57 assists.

For Milbank, Isabella Anderson finished with 17 kills, five aces and two blocks. Claire Snaza and Avery Schuneman had eight kills apiece. Rylee Scoular and Addisyn Krause logged 17 assists apiece. Scoular had five aces. Krause posted 23 digs. Ella Sandvig posted 25 digs, while Siera Wenzl posted 24 digs. Snaza added four blocks. Kenzie Kooima posted two blocks.

 

Hitchcock-Tulare 3, Castlewood 0 

CASTLEWOOD — Class B No. 4 Hitchcock-Tulare swept Castlewood in a Tuesday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-11, 25-17 and 25-12.

HT’s Katelyn Schroeder finished with 20 kills and nine digs. Rebecca Huizenga posted six kills. Lila Johnson recorded 18 assists, while Gracyn Bixler posted 14 assists. Lila Johnson had five aces and Ella Johnson posted three aces. Cambree Hoekman had 17 digs. Isabel Gilbert had two blocks.

Castlewood stats were not reported.


Freeman Academy/Marion 3, Viborg-Hurley 2

VIBORG — Freeman Academy/Marion outlasted Viborg-Hurley in a five-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-23, 23-25, 25-18, 22-25 and 15-10.

FAM’s Lanae Waldner had 12 kills and four blocks. Kallie Johnson had 12 kills and 30 digs. Hailey Stahl had eight kills and 25 digs. Maliyah Nankievel added five kills and 12 digs. Harli Ross had 25 assists and 35 digs. Emma McConniel added 26 digs. Anna Olson posted six kills and two blocks. 

For VH, Addison Huth posted 16 kills, nine digs, one block and one ace. Aubree Schwartz posted seven kills and 23 digs. Charley Nelson posted 45 digs and three aces. Danica Gordon posted seven digs, two kills and two blocks. Jenna Graves had 18 assists, 22 digs and two aces. Kyla Peterson posted 11 digs and two aces. Natali Blair posted 13 digs, five assists, three aces and two kills. Tatum Lyons had four digs, two assists and two kills. 


Sioux Valley 3, Arlington 0

VOLGA — Sioux Valley improved to 17-2 after sweeping Arlington during Tuesday’s volleyball action. The set scores were 26-24, 25-15, and 25-17.

SV’s Kaedyn Sapp tallied 13 kills, 13 digs, and a block, Lacey Langland had nine kills and three digs, Adison Renkly had seven kills, Keyra Kruse recorded six kills, Machaela Gerasch had 18 assists while Sunny Hesby tallied 17 assists in the win.

Arlington’s Jaelyn Huntimer recorded eight kills and nine digs, Madalynn Bacon had 15 digs, Halley Miller tallied five kills and four digs, while Sony Johnson dished out 12 assists in the loss.


Elk Point-Jefferson 3, South Sioux City, Nebraska 0

ELK POINT — Elk Point-Jefferson improved to 25-3 on the season with a sweep of South Sioux City, Nebraska in Tuesday night volleyball action. The set scores were 25-22, 25-13 and 25-22. 

Ashley Brewer powered EPJ with 13 kills, three aces and three blocks. Bentlee Kollbaum finished with 14 kills and an assist while Courtney Brewer recorded 38 assists, one kill and two aces. Cera Schmitz finished with four kills and an ace and Kaitlyn Van Roekel contributed two kills, three aces and an assist. 

Stats for South Sioux City, Nebraska were not reported.


Wessington Springs 3, Sunshine Bible Academy 0

MILLER — Wessington Springs defeated Sunshine Bible Academy in straight sets during Tuesday’s volleyball action. The set scores were 25-17, 25-9, and 25-16.

Wessington Springs’ Ashlyn Weber recorded nine kills and five aces, Kerstyn Hime had six kills, while Mariah Messmer tallied 20 assists and two aces in the win.

SBA’s Dakota Boersma tallied eight kills, Ciera Mickelson recorded seven kills and two blocks, while Abby Hinman had two aces and an assist in the loss.


Dell Rapids 3, Deubrook Area 0

WHITE — Class A No. 2 Dell Rapids took down Deubrook Area in straight sets during Tuesday’s volleyball action. The set scores were 25-20, 25-15, and 25-20.

Dell Rapids’ Madelynn Henry tallied 22 kills and six digs, Lauryn Kloth had nine kills, Karlie Ingalls tallied seven kills and a block, Alaina Wolff had nine digs, while Sophi Randall dished out 39 assists in the win.

Deubrook Area’s Zoey Molengraaf recorded six kills, Matte Bauman had 11 assists, three kills, and two blocks, while Kylee Johnson and Maddie Schulte each had five digs in the loss.


Elkton-Lake Benton 3, Deuel 1

ELKTON — Behind a big night from Andrea Renkly Elkton-Lake Benton got past Deuel in four sets in Tuesday night high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-16, 23-25, 25-15 and 25-11.

Powering Elkton-Lake Benton was Renkly who had 17 kills, three aces, two assisted blocks and six digs. Malya Siegers dished out 35 assists and Charlie Thooft put down 11 kills while having two assisted blocks. Maya Jensen had five kills and Payton Kuehl finished with two aces. 

Camdyn Peterreins led Deuel with seven kills, two blocks and two assists. Gracyn Gohring led with 13 digs and Tony Engebretson finished with 10 digs.
