ABERDEEN — Pierre’s Jared Lutmer and Watertown’s Grace McElroy claimed individual titles at Thursday’s Sahli/Salmi Invitational at Lee Park Golf Course. 

Lutmer covered the 5,000-meter distance in 15-minutes and :45.67 seconds, finishing well ahead of teammate Caleb Morris (17:01.78). Watertown’s Ty Sullivan (17:08.72), Jamestown, North Dakota’s Sam Anteau (17:10.90) and Watertown’s Dane Stark (17:14.11) rounded out the top-five runners.

McElroy captured the girls 5,000-meter race in 19:29.22, ahead of Aberdeen Central’s Juna Ramey (19:47.66). Watertown’s Kate McElroy (20:33.44), Pierre’s Gwen Richter (20:56.94) and Aberdeen Central’s Morgan VanVeen (20:58.16) rounded out the top-five finishers. 

In the team standings, Aberdeen Central won the boys title with 40 points. Pierre (51) and Watertown (60) finished second and third, respectively. 

On the girls side, Pierre won the team title with 44 points. Watertown (56) and Aberdeen Central (61) finished second and third, respectively.
