With just one weekend of regular season left, girls wrestlers are jockeying for seeding positions in their respective weight classes. 

The Pierre girls wrestled well at Saturday’s Yankton Invitational, racking up 72 points to outdistance Brookings (57) and Bon Homme/Scotland/Avon (48). Dakota Valley (27) and Sioux Falls Roosevelt (27) rounded out the top five at that tournament. 

Team depth seems to be the key for the Pierre girls as they have just one top-ranked wrestler, Ciara McFarling (285).

• Spearfish has two top-ranked wrestlers, Maria Kruske (106) and 30-0 Taylor Graveman (132).

• Bon Homme/Scotland/Avon has two top-ranked wrestlers, Britney Rueb (113) and Peyton Hellman (126).
