MENNO — Scotland Menno senior Trinity Bietz won the shot put and discus to highlight action at Thursday’s Menno Relays. 

Bietz won the shot put (39-02.25), discus (119-05) and the javelin (119-05). The shot put effort is the top mark in Class A this season, the discus mark is the second best throw in Class A and the javelin mark is third best mark in Class A this season. 

The Colman-Egan girls won the team title with 150 points, ahead of Freeman (121) and Scotland/Menno (116). Hanson (89) and Arlington (80) rounded out the top five teams. 

The Freeman boys won the team title with 124.5 points, edging Hanson (123) and Scotland/Menno (121). Colman-Egan (112) and Freeman Academy/Marion (87.5) rounded out the top five teams. 

Colman-Egan’s Crystal Silva-Dominguez won the 100-meter dash (:13.32), 200-meter dash (:27.68), rana leg on the second place 400-meter relay (:52.88) and a leg on the winning 3,200-meter relay (10:33.59). 

Colman-Egan’s Quinn Meyer won the high jump (5-02). 

Freeman’s Rylee Peters won the 100-meter hurdles (:16.46) and 300-meter hurdles (:48.21) and anchored the 1,600-meter relay (4:23.49) to a win.

Other winners for the girls were Oldham-Ramona-Rutland’s Rylan Pearson in the 400-meter dash (1:05.10), Freeman Academy/Marion’s Estelle Waltner in the 800-meter run (2:41.41), Arlington’s Kaelyn Luschmid in the 1,600-meter run (5:50.71), Scotland-Menno’s Zoe Schaffer in the 3,200-meter run (12:50.90), Hanson’s Lillian Bahmuller in the pole vault (7-00), Canistota’s Allison Leber in the long jump (16-03) and Hanson’s Jazzlyn Campbell in the triple jump (33-06). 

In boys action Freeman’s Lane McCune won the 1,600-meter run (5:00.42), 3,200-meter run (10:46.46) and ran a leg on the winning 3,200-meter relay (8:43.15). 

Freeman’s Alaric Knittel won the javelin (134-05). 

The Hanson boys won the 1,600-meter relay (3:40.56). Hanson’s Keaton Weber won the long jump (19-10.25) and triple jump (40-01.50). 

Colman-Egan’s Jase Mousel won the 200-meter dash (:24.11) and ran a leg on the winning 800-meter relay (1:32.96). Jackson Zwart won the 110-meter hurdles (:16.27) and 300-meter hurdles (:43.04) and Jack Mousel won the high jump (6-02). 

Other winners for the boys were Freeman Academy/Marion's Keaton Preheim in the 100-meter dash (:11.52), Bridgewater-Emery’s Holden Wollmann in the 400-meter dash (:52.37), Scotland-Menno’s Izayah Ulmer in the 800-meter run (2:10.27), Scotland Menno’s Hunter Yosten in the shot put (46-02.75), Arlington’s Jake Burns in the pole vault (11-06) and Canistota’s Jaden Kleinsasser in the discus (137-05). 

Other relay winners for the boys were Freeman Academy/Marion in the 400-meter relay (:45.32) and in the sprint medley relay (3:49.62).
