Burke 3, Bon Homme 2

CHAMBERLAIN — Burke outlasted Bon Homme in a five-set high school volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 20-25, 25-17, 25-18, 22-25 and 15-9.

Burke’s Kailee Frank finished with 16 kills, while Paige Bull added nine kills and six blocks. Emmie Hausmann added seven kills. Ava Sargent posted eight aces, nine digs and 15 assists. Bridget Eliason added three aces and 16 assists. 

Bon Homme stats were not reported. 


Burke 3, Chamberlain 0

CHAMBERLAIN — Burke swept Chamberlain in a Thursday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-9, 25-13 and 25-10.

Burke’s Kailee Frank finished with eight kills, while Emmie Hausmann added six kills and eight aces. Paige Bull posted four kills. Elle Johnson recorded seven digs. Emily Spencer finished with nine assists. Ava Sargent and Bridget Eliason had six and five assists, respectively. 

Viborg-Hurley 3, Howard 2

VIBORG — Viborg-Hurley outlasted Howard in a five-set high school volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 20-25, 27-25, 25-16, 15-25 and 15-10.

Viborg-Hurley’s Addy Huth recorded 14 kills, 10 digs and six blocks. Aubree Schwartz recorded nine kills and 12 digs. Charley Nelson dished out 56 assists and added four aces. Danica Gordon added four kills and 10 digs. Jenna Graves posted 20 digs, nine assists, four kills and three aces. Mataya Vannorsdel posted 24 assists and 15 digs. Natalie Blair logged 15 digs, while Paisley Skonhovd had five kills and four digs.

For Howard, Tana Hoyer had 21 kills, 12 digs and 64 assists. Abby Aslesen posted 18 kills, 11 assists, 20 digs, five blocks and three aces. Taryn Mentle logged eight kills, 11 assists and 13 digs. Dakota Spader posted 21 digs, seven assists and two kills. Reese Rudebusch added 83 assists and 15 digs. Anna Becker had 17 digs and four assists.


Northwestern 3, Waubay-Summit 0

MELLETTE — Class B No. 3 Northwestern swept Waubay-Summit in a Thursday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-3, 25-7 and 25-11.

Northwestern’s Ashley Haven finished with 12 kills, seven digs, two blocks and five aces. Ana Ratigan posted nine kills. Payton Grandpre posted two aces, four kills and 10 digs. Ella Boekelheide recorded 23 assists and five digs, while Tara Blachford had three aces. 

Waubay-Summit stats were not reported. 


Corsica-Stickney 3, Gregory 1

CORSICA — Corsica-Stickney earned a four-set high school volleyball match win over Gregory on Thursday. The set scores were 25-17, 12-25, 25-19 and 25-13.

Corsica-Stickney’s Braylee Bordewyk finished with nine kills, 10 assists, nine digs and three aces. Sophie DeLange recorded four aces, six kills, eight digs and 10 assists. Ashlyn Lefers finished with 41 digs and two blocks. Brooklyn Bosma added nine digs, four aces and 3.5 blocks. Jacey Kemp tallied 14 digs, five aces and four kills. Cali Vanden Hoek posted 12 digs. 

For Gregory, Asia VanDerWerff had nine kills and five aces. Regan Graesser recorded six kills and 19 digs. Jordan Svatos posted 15 assists and 19 digs. 


Chester 3, Garretson 0

CHESTER — Class B No. 2 Chester swept Garretson in a Thursday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-22, 25-20 and 25-14.

Chester’s Jacy Wolf finished with 12 kills, 12 digs and six assists. Emmerson Eppard added 10 kills and two aces. Emery Larson recorded 14 digs. Emery Larson had 14 digs and two aces. Lily VanHal dished out 29 assists.

For Garretson, Kaylin Koch recorded 15 kills, three aces and 10 digs. Aleah Wagner posted 12 kills. Addi Hove finished with 14 assists and Maci Rotert added 10 assists. Tayler Benson had 11 digs. Bryn Swatek added two aces. 


Wilmot 3, Tri-State, N.D. 0

ROSHOLT — Wilmot picked up a straight sets win over Tri-State. N.D. in high school volleyball action Thursday. Set scores were 25-18, 25-18 and 25-23. 

Addison Heinje led the Wolves with 13 kills while Paige Johnson (8) and Jada Cameron (2) contributed to the net play. Cameron led with six blocks while Heinje had four blocks. Mya Heinje finished with 16 assists while Stacia Redday led with four aces. 

Stats were not reported for Tri-State, N.D.


Menno 3, Freeman 0

MENNO — The Menno Wolves earned a straight sets win over Freeman in high school volleyball action Thursday. Set scores were 25-15, 25-23 and 25-14. 

Leading the way for Menno was Ashton Massey powered Menno Thursday with six kills, five blocks and four digs. Joslynn Fischer has three kills, ten assists, six digs and three aces. Maggie Miller had 18 digs and three assists while Taylor Freler had four kills and seven digs. Zoe Butler led Freeman with six kills, three blocks and two digs. Ashlin Jacobsen had three kills and 10 digs. 


Hanson 3, Irene-Wakonda 0 

ALEXANDRIA — Hanson swept Irene-Wakonda in straight sets in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-17, 25-12 and 25-18.

Hanson’s Kylie Haiar led the Beavers with six kills and two blocks. Taziah Hawkins added six kills and eight digs. Jersey Kampshoff added 18 assists, eight digs and four aces. Kiana Berg recorded three kills and one block. Claire Bridge posted five digs and one ace.

For Irene-Wakonda, Kaitlynn Mellen had three kills, while Madison Orr recorded two kills and five digs. Brenna Lyngstad added two kills. Quinn McDonald added eight digs, while Zoey Anderson posted five digs. 


Sully Buttes 3, Sunshine Bible Academy 0

MILLER — Sully Buttes swept Sunshine Bible Academy in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-20, 25-13 and 25-21. 

SBA’s Annalise VanZee finished with five kills and five blocks. Natasha Appel added three kills. Kennedy Keck logged six digs and Abby Hinman had three digs. 

Sully Buttes stats were not reported. 

 

Estelline-Hendricks 3, Deubrook Area 2

WHITE — Estelline-Hendricks outlasted Deubrook Area in a five-set high school volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 13-25, 19-25, 25-14, 25-12 and 15-12.

Estelline-Hendricks’ Kenzy Beare put down 37 kills and added 28 digs. Claire Degal and Presly Bury had five kills apiece, while Degal had four blocks. Sadie Johnson added 38 assists and 28 digs. Bury recorded nine assists and two aces. Bury had 23 digs, while Brooke Johnson had 23 digs. 

For Deubrook Area, Kyarra Blum recorded nine kills and four blocks. Zoey Molengraaf, Hanna Kjelden and Matte Bauman posted seven kills apiece. Madalyn Bauman and Matte Bauman had 18 and 15 assists, respectively. Carly Engelstad and Delaney Pedersen had 13 and 12 digs, respectively. 

 

Florence-Henry 3, Britton-Hecla 0

BRITTON — Florence-Henry swept Britton-Hecla in a Thursday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-14, 25-19 and 25-23.

Florence-Henry’s Caylin Kelly posted three blocks, 14 kills and 21 digs. Taylor Watson added eight kills, while Kaija Gusso logged 25 assists and 18 digs. Kate Hulscher posted three blocks and two kills.

Britton-Hecla stats were not reported.  

 

Wagner 3, Kimball/White Lake 0

WHITE LAKE — Class A No. 3 Wagner earned a high school volleyball win over Kimball/White Lake in high school volleyball action Thursday. Set scores were 25-11, 25-14 and 25-18.

The Wagner hitters came out firing with Ashlyn Koupal (14) and Aubrey Medricky (12) leading  the way. Macy Koupal finished with eight kills, 29 assists and 10 digs. Libby Kotab had four digs and two aces while Madi Knebel had ten digs and an ace. 

Kimball/White Lake received an all-around match from Ryann Nielsen who tallied six kills, six assists, 12 digs and two aces. Harley Namanny had four kills, 10 assists, five kills and three aces.

 

Deuel 3, Clark/Willow Lake 2

CLEAR LAKE — Deuel edged Clark/Willow Lake in a five-set high school volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 26-24, 21-25, 25-19, 18-25 and 15-11.

Deuel’s Josie Andersen finished with 10 kills, 19 assists and 16 digs. Emma Sattler added 10 kills, while Kaitlyn Gubrud posted nine kills. Sara Jo Kreger posted 13 assists. Ella Kerkvliet had 18 digs, while Annika Kriz posted 14 digs and two aces. Alexis Schuring recorded two aces. Kayden Russell had six assists and two blocks. 

Clark/Willow Lake stats were not reported. 

 

Sioux Falls Lutheran 3, Oldham-Ramona-Rutland 0

RAMONA — Sioux Falls Lutheran swept Oldham-Ramona-Rutland in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-23, 25-18 and 25-19.

Sioux Falls Lutheran’s Tatum Beckman had 11 kills, while Madilyn Dinges posted 10 kills and six aces. Sophie Stubkjaer had 12 assists, while Beckman posted 13 assists. 

For ORR, Julia Trygstad had 10 kills and 15 digs. Alivia Padgett added 10 digs, while Emily Matson had nine assists.  

 

Milbank 3, Redfield 0

MILBANK — Milbank swept Redfield in a Thursday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-23, 26-24 and 25-23.

Milbank’s Rachel Schulte finished with 11 kills, 14 assists, eight digs and three aces. Skyler Skoog added 10 kills and 10 digs. Shaylee Schuchard posted seven kills and one ace. Addisyn Krause posted 14 assists. Ella Sandvig finished with 22 digs. Isabella Anderson added two blocks. 

For Redfield, Katie Rozell recorded nine kills, 10 digs, one ace and one block. Cecilia Suchor had two kills. Charlie Jungwirth recorded two aces, while Hayden Gall logged 16 assists. Chloe Zens logged 19 digs. 

 

Sioux Falls Christian 3, Dakota Valley 0

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Class A No. 1 Sioux Falls Christian defeated Class A No. 2 Dakota Valley in a Thursday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-18, 25-23 and 25-22.

Sioux Falls Christian’s Sidney Oostra recorded 18 kills, eight digs and two aces. Brieta Tims added 10 kills and two blocks. Katelyn Maas had four kills and four blocks. Rachel Dieleman posted four kills and nie blocks. Addisen Barber recorded 28 assists, three kills and three blocks. Chloe Bosma added eight digs and three aces, while Lavin Maddox recorded 17 digs and four assists.

For Dakota Valley, Sophie Tuttle recorded 13 kills, three digs and two blocks. Claire Munch added eight kills, four digs and three blocks. Sammy Kimball added five kills and two blocks. Bria Perryman and Jacee Squire had eight and seven assists, respectively. 

 

Hamlin 3, Webster Area 0 

HAYTI — Hamlin swept Webster Area in a Thursday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-13, 25-18 and 25-22.

Hamlin’s Addie Neuendorf finished with 17 kills and nine assists. Tiahna Leo posted five kills, while Grace Opdahl posted 11 digs. Emily Everson added seven digs. Marissa Bawdon had 20 assists and four aces. 

Webster Area stats were not reported. 

 

Dell Rapids 3, Flandreau 0

FLANDREAU — Class A No. 4 Dell Rapids swept Flandreau in straight sets in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-15, 25-14 and 25-18.

Dell Rapids’ Madelynn Henry finished with 17 kills and eight digs. Lauryn Kloth added five kills, three blocks and three aces. Kylee Fiddelke posted five kills. Sophi Randall tallied 25 assists, while Alaina Wolff recorded nine digs.

For Flandreau, Claire Sheppard finished with three kills, three blocks and one ace. Abby Schoeberl recorded two blocks and 12 assists. Lily Klein added two kills and eight digs. Sadie Iott posted seven digs. Lizzie Pavlis added an ace. 


Lennox 3, West Central 0

HARTFORD — Lennox swept West Central in a Thursday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-15, 25-23 and 25-18.

West Central’s Marissa Dobbs finished with two aces, eight kills, six assists and 11 digs. Maddy Ingalls finished with five kills. Addison Meadors recorded four aces, while Jocelyn Nilson posted 13 digs. Ellie Lienhard added 11 assists. Meadors and Dobbs each had blocks. 

Lennox stats were not reported. 


Madison 3, Tri-Valley 0

MADISON — Madison earned a straight sets victory over Tri-Valley and they earned that win in Friday night volleyball action. Set scores were 25-15, 25-15 and 25-15. 

The Madison hitting attack was led by Audrey Nelson and Lydia Nelson who combined for 25 kills Friday. Callie McDermott led Madison with 16 digs while Karley Theede dished out 32 assists. Karly Lurz added two blocks for the Bulldogs who improved to 13-2 on the season. 

Emery Pearson led Tri-Valley with 11 kills followed by Maddie Wenzel with eight kills. Kenzie Atwood had 13 digs while Abby Wagner had 11 dogs and 11 assists. 


Sioux Falls Jefferson 3, Brandon Valley 0

BRANDON — Class AA No. 2 Sioux Falls Jefferson swept Brandon Valley in a Thursday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-14, 25-14 and 25-22. 

Brandon Valley’s Jayaunna Stroh finished with six kills, while Abby Gruber and Kennedi Boomsma had five kills apiece. Stroh added six digs, while Boomsma added three blocks. Sydney Benson recorded six digs. Ashley Ertelt added two blocks, while 

Riya Sheley posted 13 assists and two aces. Alli Gawarecki had two aces. 

Jefferson stats were not reported.  


Harrisburg 3, Sioux Falls Lincoln 0

SIOUX FALLS — Class AA No. 1 Harrisburg earned a straight sets win over Sioux Falls Lincoln earning the volleyball win on Thursday in Sioux Falls. Set scores were 25-14, 26-24 and 25-23. 

Harrisburg was powered Thursday by Gabi Zacharasen who led the way with 20 kills and two aces. Josalyn Samuels finished with 37 assists while Karalynn Leach had three aces and eight kills. For Sioux Falls Lincoln Linnea Nesheim led the team with 10 kills. Josie Tollinger finished with 14 assists, Jazmen Kutey with two blocks and Julia Blom with 23 digs.
