MITCHELL — Dell Rapids Mudcats pounded out 13 hits and cruised to a 6-0 win over Winner to advance to Sunday’s Class B title game.

Ty Hoglund led the Mudcats with three hits while Chad Hunt, Matt Burpee and Trevor Freudenthal added two hits each.

Dalton Lehnen picked up the win for Dell Rapids after pitching a complete game. He gave up nine hits while striking out nine.

Austin Calhoun led the Pheasants with two hits. Derek Graesser took the loss, pitching 3 1/3 innings, giving up six runs on 11 hits. He struck out five and walked one.

The Mudcats will take on Flandreau at 2 p.m. on Sunday after the Cardinals took care of Dimock-Emery 5-1 in Saturday’s earlier game.

The Raptors had been on a roll since the district tournament when they upset the defending champion Alexandria Angels.

Drew Demers led the Cardinals with three hits while Bret Severtson and Grant Hieb added two hits each.

Drew Weber picked up the win, pitching 7 1/3 innings, giving up one run on six hits.

Luke Bamberg and Sam Pischke led Dimock with two hits each.

Jason Schmidt took the loss, giving up five runs on 11 hits. He struck out six and walked three while pitching a complete game.
