Dupree 41, Lower Brule 36 

RAPID CITY — Dupree outlasted Lower Brule to win the girls basketball He Sapa championship at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Saturday.

Maddlynn Red Bear finished with 14 points and eight rebounds. Breanna Domingo totaled nine points and three rebounds. Jaeshawnia Iron Hawk added nine points and four rebounds. Jada Brewer added six points and seven rebounds.

For Lower Brule, Larayah St. Cloud totaled 11 points and six boards. Brilyn LaRoche posted 10 points, while Marlee Sazue added seven points. Ezmiah Middletent posted six points and 10 boards. 


Rapid City Christian 70, Wall 47

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures to pace Rapid City Christian to a third-place finish in the Oceti Sakowin bracket at the Lakota Nation Invitational in girls basketball action Saturday.

Rapid City Christian’s Sadie Marshall finished with 16 points, six rebounds and three steals. Brynn Casey added 12 points, while Nia Selfridge totaled 11 points and four rebounds. Nora Kieffer and Madison Kooiman scored seven points apiece. Liza Kieffer and Emma Swanson had six points apiece. 

For Wall, Karmyn Kjerstad added 18 points, five rebounds, four assists and four steals. Allie Kjerstad had 11 points and three 3-pointers. Brittney Walker posted seven points, while Jocelyn Bielmaier had five points. 


Omaha Nation 59, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 42 

RAPID CITY — Mikkel Parker and Desma Walker combined for 35 points to power Omaha Nation to a girls basketball win at Saturday’s Lakota Nation Invitational. 

Parker finished with 21 points, five rebounds, four 3-pointers and three steals. Walker added 14 points and nine rebounds. Dailene Parker totaled eight points and 14 rebounds. 

For CEB, Suni Bowman recorded nine points, four steals and three rebounds. Cadence Bernie totaled eight points. Dakotta Longbrake, Mary Dee Dion and Pamela Meeter scored six points apiece. 


Marty 41, Custer 39

RAPID CITY — Marty outlasted Custer for the Makosica Championship girls championship at Saturday’s Lakota Nation Invitational. 

Rozario Zephier finished with 17 points, while Gabby Zephier added 11 points, seven rebounds, three 3-pointers and three steals. Tanaya Rouse totaled five points. 

For Custer, Kylee Ellerton posted 19 points, seven rebounds, six steals and four 3-pointers. Rylan Lowe posted nine points and five rebounds. Siena Schultz scored seven points. 


White River 61, Todd County 42 

RAPID CITY — Four players scored in double figures to power White River to a Lakota Nation Invitational girls basketball win on Saturday. 

Page Wright finished with 15 points and eight rebounds. Leah Carr added 14 points, six rebounds, five assists and three 3-pointers. Adeley Morrison and Alicia Larson scored 12 points. Larson added eight rebounds. 

For Todd County, Savanna Stands On Top totaled 14 points and seven rebounds. Trinity Bettelyoun recorded nine points, while Tashay LeRoy and Luisa Two Eagle had seven points apiece.


Pine Ridge 49, Little Wound 18

RAPID CITY — Pine Ridge pulled past Little Wound for a girls basketball win at Saturday’s Lakota Nation Invitational. 

Pine Ridge’s Baylee Bravo finished with 13 points, seven rebounds and four steals. Olivia Featherman posted nine points and six rebounds. Chalene Ten Fingers had five points and 10 rebounds.

For Little Wound, Romona Tibbitts finished with eight points. Leilani Richards added five points and eight rebounds. 


St. Francis 48, Santee (Neb.) 42

RAPID CITY — Miley Pike and Urijah Starlin combined to score 30 points to power St. Francis to a girls basketball win at Saturday’s Lakota Nation Invitational. 

Pike finished with 20 points, eight rebounds and three steals. Starlin added 10 points, four rebounds and four steals. Aubrinee Tuttle totaled seven points and 11 rebounds. 

For Santee, Erin White Lance had 13 points and 14 rebounds. Joslin Bordeaux totaled 11 points. Angelique Romero had 10 points, 10 rebounds and five steals. 


Tiospa Zina 75, Oelrichs 52

RAPID CITY — Ziah Crawford and Krius Haukaas combined to score 46 points to power Tiospa Zina to a girls basketball win at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Saturday.

Crawford finished with 25 points and 10 steals. Haukaas posted 21 points and six steals. Kayleigh Abbey had nine points. Harmony Rodlund posted eight points, five steals and five rebounds. 

For Oelrichs, Myleih Blacksmith finished with 15 points and seven rebounds. LaStella Her Many Horses recorded 12 points, seven steals and three 3-pointers. Nalolah Warrior had 10 points, seven rebounds and five steals. 


Tiospaye Topa 47, Takini 33

RAPID CITY — Madison Jefferies and Lieryn Jensen combined to score 32 points to power Tiospaye Topa to a girls basketball win at Saturday’s Lakota Nation Invitational. 

Jefferies finished with 18 points, six rebounds and three steals. Jensen added 14 points and 10 rebounds. Avianna Pearman posted seven points and six rebounds. 

For Takini, MyLeigh Charging Cloud finished with 22 points, 13 rebounds and five 3-pointers. Bessie Eagle Chasing recorded 11 points, nine rebounds and seven steals. 


McLaughlin 68, Crow Creek 41 

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures to power McLaughlin to a girls basketball win at Saturday’s Lakota Nation Invitational. C’anna Little Eagle finished with 20 points, while A’Kila Vermillion had 14 points and five rebounds. Rylee Free posted 10 points. 

For Crow Creek, Lux Fallis scored 23 points and collected seven rebounds. Allison Wells finished with 16 points. 


Wakpala 52, Crazy Horse 27 

RAPID CITY — Emma Brown and Tayana Howard combined for 30 points to power Wakpala to a girls basketball win at Saturday’s Lakota Nation Invitational. 

Brown finished with 17 points and three rebounds. Howard added 13 points and six rebounds. Tateyanna Parisien had 12 rebounds and four points. 

For Crazy Horse, Lelanna Red Elk posted 10 points and seven rebounds. Raleah Yankton totaled eight points and 16 rebounds.
